Excellent work for a great prive

They sharpened eight of my kitchen knives, including two serrated knives, in 40 minutes. It's like having brand new knives, and they did it all for about $25. Couldn't ask for more.

Called on Wednesday, described the garden tools I had ( a pruner pole and hand loppers) and said I needed the blades sharpened. The person on the phone was friendly and said it would be $14.50 total. She said to just drop them off during their business hours and I would need to leave the items and it would take a day or two and they would call when ready. I dropped them off on Thurs. Sept. 12, received a claim ticket and also was told my last name would be engraved in the blade also as a additional precaution and service. Very easy place to find, off the Eisenhower !-290 and Harlem Ave.
I received a call the next day, that they were ready for pick-up. Came in....with my claim ticket. Got my items (they were zip tied together), got one of their promotion cards that tell all the kinds of items they can sharpen....push mower, knives, scissors, cutting tools etc.
Price was reasonable and fair. Everyone I talked with was friendly. Nice place. I would definitely use this service again.

I brought just two knives to Bernie's for sharpening. They are my favorite knives and I didn't want to have to wait a few days to get them back. So this "while you wait" service is wonderful. It is a family owned business (since1970). They have a lot of commercial accounts but for residential customers this is a fine service. They also sharpen scissors, and lawn and garden tools. I do like to give any of my business to small business owners because I feel that they are just more responsible and accountable than largecompanies. I was very happy with the results and also with the friendliness of the owner.
