I use them quite frequently but I like the fact that they give me reports and before they do any actual work on the car, they will call me and let me know what the status is. They are an old established company and they have a very good reputation; that is why I have continued to use them. Anytime I have any car problems, they are the first ones I go to.

My son took his 2004 Acura to the O'Fallon, IL Honda dealer for oil change service about 6 weeks ago. The car was returned with "check engine' light on. He contacted them about it and they said they had forgotten to turn it off. He could drive it with no problems and they would turn it off next time he came in. He was back a few days ago for oil change. At that time, they said they couldn't shut off the "check engine" light without running a $100 diagnostic to read the codes first. He's a broke college student, so I made an appointment with Mark II Tune-Up in Fairview Heights to get the car checked. I've found them to be honest and professional in the past. I was seen immediately for my appointment. The car was diagnosed within half hour. Repair service requirements and recommendations were reviewed with me. An air fuel ration sensor needed replacing. Repair was completed within an hour. Car works and sounds smooth again. The repair part was rather expensive, but it's under warranty. Mark II is part of the Tech-Net group so the warranty is nationwide. That means a lot to me. Labor charges for the diagnosis and repair were approximately the same as what the Honda dealer quoted for diagnosis only. I feel like we got a good deal for good service on this repair and i would recommend anyone to use Mark II for their automotive repair needs.

I have been a patron of Mark II Tune Up for about 5 years but I am new to Angie's List so this is a new review. I was initially referred to Mark II by a friend and have been very pleased with the service, price, professionalism and integrity of this business. I drive a 16 year old vehicle with over 200,000 miles and the guys at Mark II genuinely have my best interest at heart when it comes to repairs and maintenance. Eva and Ron keep great service records so if I have problems with parts, they have quick access to warranty information. I have consistently found that they will not perform unnecessary work and are sure to explain things in such a manner that anyone could understand the issues at hand. Work done includes brakes, water pump, oil changes, safety inspections for road trips, and vehicle inspections for other vehicles I have considered purchasing. It's rare that you'll find a company with outstanding service and integrity at a reasonable price these days but Mark II is a treasure and I highly recommend them to anyone, regardless of age of vehicle or type of service needed.
