Got a plug in the floor plumbing thinking the smell was from there. Smell didn't disappear. 4 months later we found an open connection hole on the vent stack. WE plugged it and since then, no more smell! ??✌️

They're good but they come from out of town. You have to pay for their travel. I did not like the charge. The workers were good.

From the time I first spoke with them at the Home Show, held at U.S. Cellular Center, I was impressed with them.  I took their business card and told them I had been thinking of having this work done for a long time, and still had not decided.  My wife and I finally decided to have the generator installed.  I called Popejoy, and two other companies, asking for estimates.  Popejoy's salesman met with us at our home, asked lots of questions, took pictures, and gave a general idea of the costs involved.  He said he would take all the info and work up an estimate.  Within a week, as he promised, he called us with an estimate.  I told him I was getting more estimates and he said he understood that it was a big decision, and to call him with my decision.  I was really impressed with his knowledge, and his personality.  After speaking with the other companies sales people, and getting their quotes, we decided to give the work to Popejoy.  They sent a tech to do some preliminary work on our two AC units, installing "soft starts".  This did not take but about an hour.  He also was  very professional, polite, and friendly.  The day prior to doing the big job, a Popejoy rep called and asked if the next day would be agreeable to us for doing the installation.  We agreed, and he said they would be at our house at 8 a.m.  At 7:45 the next morning they were ringing our doorbell,  Two young men, brothers as it happens, were here to do the work.  I was totally impressed with their work ethic, their manners, and how efficiently they went about their work.  At 12:25 p.m., the job was done, and they were driving away.  I was so impressed from the first meeting with the salesman, to the installation of the generator, that I wrote a letter to the company owner, telling him so.  And I am not easily satisfied.  I have a reputation, good or bad, of being a perfectionist.  Popejoy delivered!

They are not the cheapest service in the area, but I like their professionalism, quality, and the wide range of services they can handle. I think of them as if I want something done right, hire them, I may pay more more, but I know its done right. For example, when we remodeled our main floor, they redid the HVAC and electrical and got me to do things I didn't initially budget for, like convert the baseboard vents to more modern floor vents and install wired smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms in all bedrooms and furnace room. For the remodel, we called them last minute and they still got everything done on schedule, and it was a big job. Always very professional.

I think they were very quick to getting me an appointment. I wish I knew they were going to charge me for a travel charge. The guy  was prompt though. I might call them and book an appointment where the guy is local so I could save the charge for commuting.
