The owner is a jerk. He intimidated my elderly parents into paying him for repair work that he did not complete and which was already prepaid through LG. I called LG for an out of warranty repair service for a non-working HDMI port on a Plasma TV owned by my parents and purchased by me. I paid upfront for a fixed fee repair/replacement. LG contracted this outfit to do the work. Bill, the owner/repairperson determined that a board needed to be ordered. He obtained the model number/part number from his source and it turned out to be the wrong board. This fact was discovered once he was at my parents place. Upon determining that the board was not correct, he started getting angry and stomping around and complaining that he wasn't going to get paid, etc. until my parents were intimidated into paying him for the service visit. I spoke to him on the phone and he stated that I had provided the incorrect information to LG. I didn't believe so at the time, but was able confirm later that LG's database system was providing incorrect information. It turns out that LG had the incorrect TV listed in their system as needing repair. Even though I had provided LG the correct information for the Plasma TV that needed repair, their database system was referencing an LCD TV that I own and not the Plasma TV my parents own. LG contacted Bill and asked that he reverse the charges to my parents. LG also asked that I call the person and request a reversal. I called Bill and was told by him that I provided the incorrect information, hence it is my fault that the wrong board was ordered and that he is not getting paid for the cost to return the board, restocking charge, etc. All of that is of no concern to me as my contract is with LG. And as LG said, Bill had no right to charge my parents. He also had no right to quarrel about costs and accuse me of providing incorrect information, when LG themselves acknowledged that I had provided the correct information. It was a horrible experience with a horribly rude businessman. On the other hand LG, despite their error, was a pleasure to work with. They ended up sending out one of their own technicians to do the repair. Friendly, efficient and also stated that Bill had no right to collect money. I guess everyone knew that except for Bill. My suggestion to anyone in my shoes is that you look elsewhere for service.

Incredible service! When I called to inquire about the repair I was asked what type of television I had. When I told him the problem and that it was a Mitsubishi, he automatically knew it was covered by an extended warranty with the manufacturer. But he didn't stop there. He gave me the contact information at Mitsubishi along with the information I needed to have the part shipped. He could have charged me more and I wouldn't have known any better. Truly trustworthy and a knowledgeable technician. Highly, highly recommend.

Interviewed me on the phone to define the problem.  Said it sounded a little different than most of the power supply failures in this model but said installing the replacement capacitor kit was worth a try.
He came at the appointed hour (the next day when his home base is 75 miles away!).
He reviewed how his charges and warrantee would go.  It was all simple and straightforward.  All verbally agreed to.
He disassembled the TV,  Pointed out the failed parts.  Installed the replacement kit (the capacitors that had failed and those that had not YET failed).  Reassembled the TV and waited while we happily tested the resulting repaired TV.
Bill reiterated his warrantee, presented an invoice and accepted payment.
He was personable and professional the entire time.
I wouldn't hesitate having him perform similar work anytime I need TV repair.

Excellent service. Asked a lot of questions when setting up appointment so he was prepared with all needed parts before he even got to my house. Gave thorough and detailed explanation of pricing during appointment scheduling as well. Came to complete repair the very next day (a Sunday!). Showed up on time and completed work in under an hour. The actual price was less than what he quoted me. Owner/technician is very professional and communicated actual problem. As a single female, I am always leery of having strangers in my home - I felt very safe and comfortable during this repair visit. Also took the time to change the cable settings on another TV at no cost when I mentioned some irritating problems with the signal. I would highly recommend this company! Soooo much cheaper than buying a new TV, very professional, on-time, works quickly and guarantees his repairs - what's not to love?!

I called Bill when my TV started self-powering out.   I was aware that my old DLP TV had a given lifetime on the lamp component, and Bill came over and checked out the TV.  He got me a new lamp and when it didn't resolve the issue, he advised me that the more likely suspect part was the color wheel and Bil didn't try to convince me to replace that part, due to its expense.  I was prepared to buy a new TV if initial repair attempts were unsuccessful.  Bill then spent time with me reviewing new TV options and I bought a 50 inch Sony LED/LCD TV.  Bill installed it for about half the price of ABT and refused to take an extra dime over what he charged from the intial work.   He really knew his way arond TVs, was responsive to all my calls, came out on time, etc.  I would use him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him.

I called Bill about 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon when my TV refused to turn on.  He answered immediately, diagnosed my issue over the phone, and I was able to schedule a repair appointment Monday afternoon.  Not only was Bill was very thorough in his diagnosis, but he was very detailed in explaining the charges an warranty associated with the repair visit. I appreciated that!  He arrived to the appointment on time and was very professional.  He even took his shoes off at the door!  Loved it!!  He worked very effeciently and was done within 45 minutes.  Aside from his excellent work, Bill has a very nice personality and was very open to answering my questions.  I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know needed TV repair work.

My 65" HD Sony started to lose the screen imagine and gradually turned a light blue.  Eventually the screen was entirely blue.  I called The Little Guys in Mokena who told me they no longer repair my set; even though they sold me the set, installed all the surround sound, VCR, and DVD.  I bought all my TV Electronics from them; most recently buying a 42" flat screen, with table, and two blue ray players. 
I then called Sony Customer Service who tried to diagnose the problem; after following all their instructions, they provided me the names of two Sony Authorized Service shops in my area.  TV Repair Xperts, Inc. was the first I called.  From the first time I spoke with Bill Baldermann, the President of the company, I just sensed he knew what he was talking about.  He told me he was familiar with the set, and that initially it had some problems with the blue tube.  But he would need to come out and see if it couldn't be something as simple as an adjustment.
He was on time; but called to say he was on his way, upon entering my home Bill removed his shoes (my floors and carpeting are white) without blinking, proceeded to work on the set, and within fifteen minutes I had my wonderful picture back.  He said he, too, was pleased that it wasn't the tube, but just in case the tube eventually fails, he would try to find another before I had to replace the set.  He truly went above and beyond, and my confidence in his knowledge and professionalism guarantees my future business.  I will also refer Bill to all my family and friends without hesitation.  It's so rare to find a technical person who doesn't "guess," but knows and makes the repair.

The repair person called 1/2 hour before showing up (as he said he would). He arrived with all necessary tools and parts and took his shoes off at the door. He turned out to be the owner of TV-VCR Repair Xperts, and later revealed that he only sends out the best personnel, including himself, on house calls. He immediately set to work, discovered and fixed the problem. He was a pleasant and informative person, answering my questions and explaining what he has learned about recent Panasonic TV sets like mine. He added that I would probably have no further problems with the set for a long time. I was quite satisfied and felt that he charged what he should for the service.

It took them five working days. It was $20 for them to check if anything was wrong. They told me they thought it needed a new CRT module and if that was not the problem, they wouldn't charge me. I thought that was very honest of them.
