McCoy seemed like a respectable individual however post payment his true self was revealed. He did not finish a job and when I called to update him on the problems he was rude and hung the phone up mid conversation. Be cautious.

They did ok.  They were on time and was professional.  They said there was some additional things that needed attention and I have not looked into it any further yet.

He came out twice.  When he removed the transformer, he noticed the basement wall was wet.  My son came over to remove ice buildup on roof.  That visit was $80.  He came back out to replace transformer, etc, and billed for 180.  He gives a discount for cash.

They replaced the outside front and back door lights. He was early, polite and did a great job.

The experience with Steve McCoy was stressful and made me feel very uncomfortable.  Steve called on the day of the appointment and wanted to come by 2 hours earlier than was scheduled because he said he was in the neighborhood and I accommodated him.  When he arrived I showed his to the basement. Right off the back he was talking loud and telling me how bad things were.  That same old scare tactic.  He was very unprofessional! While in the basement he proceeded to go upstairs without waiting for me to direct him which made me very uncomfortable. Not only that I was still asking him questions regarding things in the basement.  He was not listening to what I was saying that I wanted done.  He was to busy telling me how bad things were and that I needed my whole house re-wired, without examining any wires in the basement. Then he went on to bad mouth other electricians which speaks to his character. What really did it for me was Steve showed no respect for my home.  When he showed himself upstairs he walked all over my beautiful and expensive rug with his dirty, muddy shoes.  Once upstairs he was all over the place walking from room to room running his dirty hands across the walls telling me how he was going to have to bust out the walls to re-wire. At this point I was really uncomfortable and opened the door and thanked him and told him to send me an estimate so he would know it time to go. He wrote down his estimate on the back of his business card.  His estimate was 2 times higher than the other 6 estimates I received.  I would not let him in my house let alone hire him to do work for me.

Very professional installation, neat fast, friendly on time.

It was a good experience. I don't have anything negative to say. He told me what I needed and gave me the choice of taking it or not. He was very friendly. When he finish his work he told me what he did and I was satisfied. He had to do a little extra so the price was a little bit more but it was no problem. I was very pleased with the service.

He was a nice person to work with. I was pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend them to others.

eve originally came out on Weds. for an estimate .We agreed on a price and Steve said he would start Tues. and the job would take 3 to 4 days.He called Mon. and said he had a custome with a emergency and asked if he could push my job back 1 day.He also said he would bring a second eleclrician so the job could be finished  in the original time frame.I had no problem with this.Early the next morning Steve and Dennis arrived and went immediately to work.Both men were professional and went to extrodinary efforts to minimize any  inconvenience for my disabled sister who lives at the residence .They did a great job of keeping the floors clean and clear of clutter even while working in a given room so she wouldn't have difficuty getting around .I couldn't have asked anything more of these guys and would hire them again or reccomend them in a heartbeat.

They are very reliable and professional.

The job went very well. They managed to replace the wires in this very old buiding without damaging the walls very much. They were extremely clean and friendly. They came and left on time. They are especially good at working on old buildings and they do a nice job.

It was pretty much a quick service call, they fixed the problem I called about. This was not a major wiring job or anything. I was satisfied with their service and would use them again.

I found out that he did unnecessary work.  When attending the State Fair in Springfield, IL, I found out from the electrians unions that a lightening rod to the water pipe was unsafe.   He also put in a third electric meter for a two-unit home.  He also made a comment that the price is the cost of a vacation; which I have not been on for over ten years.  I would not recommend this company.   

The gentleman that owns the company came out to give me the estimate and he is extremely knowledgeable. The job took them 3 days and they did a superb job.

According to our last home inspection it was done properly and well.

He did a fine job! He got to us right away. I am considering having him do our whole house.

I have no problem paying a premium for licensed professionals to make sure the properties I manage are safe and well-maintained. Especially when it comes to electrical systems, but I hate being played a fool. I've had entire houses re-wired for less than what McCoy wanted to charge for a partial repair. He never took the cover off the electrical boxes to see that they were older but clean & well-maintained. He never looked at the problematic lights and switches to see if they could be fixed on the spot. This was my first attempt to source someone through Angies List. It was not a good first experience. If this is what I can expect, then there's still no substitute for personal networking.

ON 5/31, I CALLED AT 9:00. THEY RETURNED THE CALL AT 9:45. THEY SENT AN ESTIMATOR ON 6/1 AND HE WAS VERY PROMPT. I CALLED ON 6/6 TO SCHEDULE THE WORK. NO RETURN CALL. I CALLED TWICE ON 6/7. NO RETURN CALL. IF THESE COMPANIES DON'T WANT TO DO THE WORK, WHY DON'T THEY JUST SAY SO? WHEN WE START DOING MAJOR WORK, THIS COMPANY WILL BE ON THE ''DO NOT CALL'' LIST! OVERALL EXPERIENCE: LOUSY.

THE OWNER CAME TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE. HE SENT TWO MEN TO DO THE WORK. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST. THEY INITIALLY CAME TO OUR HOUSE FOR TWO DAYS WORK. THEY ARE NEAT, PLEASANT AND VERY EFFICIENT. THEY EVEN HELPED ME FIND MY CAT AFTER THE FIRST DAYS WORK WAS DONE. AFTER THE FIRST LIST WAS COMPLETED, WE NEEDED TO GET A NEW WHIRLPOOL TUB WIRED. I DIDN'T HESITATE TO CALL THEM BACK.
