Inspection Connection

Nothing less than what I expected, Mike came out, on time, courteous and thorough. He was at our home for a few hours, making himself available to answer any questions during the inspection. He inspected the major areas as expected, the electrical, the attic, the plumbing, the boiler, the roof, getting to the nuts and bolts and even the nooks and crannies inside and out. At the end, I received a detailed report with photos and he has always made himself available to discuss the report and even questions that came up done the road. Mike is definitely my go to for home inspection, even 22 years later. Thanks Mike!

Mike did two inspections for my (now) wife and I. He was extremely thorough, honest, and happy to answer any questions. The inspection probably took around 4-5 hours which is what you want in a quality home inspection and he definitely knew his stuff. Mike actually ended up saving us around $1500 which paid for the inspection + saved me money. Trust me, do yourself a favor and do not cheap out on your home inspector and go with a professional who knows his stuff and who you will learn from like Mike!

He was very confident (based on other checks) that there should be no issues, but insisted that we look into it too, since it was a very old building. Mike worked with us on two houses - the first one we didn't buy due to what was found during the inspection. He is very thorough and has cool tools to help him perform his inspections. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped us learn so much - we were first time home buyers and knew nothing. Inspected a 2 story house with a finished basement. Mike took 3 hours to inspect, explain issues and answer all my questions. The report had pictures of every issue with an explanation each problem. It was Easy to read and understand. He made suggestions on fixes and what to ask for from the seller. I also hired him to reinspect the same house once the seller fixed problems on the report. Second inspection lasted an hour and I received the same type of detailed report. Mike's response time was quick and he was punctual. 1st inspection was 500 reinspect was 200.

The inspection was extremely thorough.  He took a couple of hours and made certain that I was there, at every step, and completely understood his findings and recommendations.

Mike meticulously and systematically reviewed the condo and common areas, creating a list of property "concerns" on the way while being calm and patient with me (a home-buyer novice). Without stating his overall opinion, he gave me a comprehensive view of the risks and likely maintenance issues I would face with the property, while highlighting areas requiring further investigation. His website also provides one of the best summaries of issues specific to split face block construction, as well as an approach to reviewing a condo association's commitment to ongoing maintenance.

Mike was indispensable to our house hunting process. He wasn't afraid to steer us clear of a house that had some serious issues. He was very thorough and patient, explaining everything that he was inspecting and giving good advice on how to approach it. Definitely recommend.

We called for home inspection three times. First two times we were not able to close on the home. He was very professional , explained everything took time to inspect the property. Home buying the biggest decision I am very satisfied with the services.

Mike was great. He was recommended to us by a friend who just bought a house. He was very punctual and even beat us to the house for the inspection. He was very thorough and caught things we would have never thought of (structural beams not secured to concrete), animal droppings in the crawl space, among other things. He saved us a good amount of money at closing! I would highly recommend.

The inspection went well.  He addressed my concerns from the get go.  The roof was an old slate roof. Very beautiful and tons character.  However, there were many fixes that were merely patched up.  Mike pointed them out and the potential hazards  of that.  We walked around the home, the garage, basement and made our way up to the attic.  It was quite thorough.  All the major issues were found such as the roof leaks and the basement leaks.  Well worth the $500 to spend on the inspection even though we didn't get the home.  Highly recommend Mike.

On the day of the inspection Mike arrived early and provided a very detailed and informative inspection, answering questions and providing constructive feedback along the way. Mike also turned a very detailed inspection report around within hours of completing the inspection. He also included pictures in the report with very detailed follow up for each item noted. I would strongly recommend Mike.

Mike was wonderful--he arrived early (he and I waited on the agents together for about 15 minutes) and was incredibly thorough. He checked the heating/cooling/electrical systems extensively and gave me tips on safety measures that, as a first time buyer of an actual house, I didn't know. He didn't shy away from letting me know of the problems that he saw, either--as he said, the inspector works only for the buyer, to give me the best possible information going into the purchase. He examined every room and every system and gave me a ton of valuable information. I really felt like he was working entirely for me to give me the tools I needed to make a good decision--really can't ask for more than that! The inspection took about three hours and I followed him around learning about everything that he was inspecting. 
His report was nine pages long and filled with photos of items that he thought were problematic (including arrows to show me exactly what he meant). 
I think the cost of the inspections for old homes is probably a bit higher than it is for a newer condo unit--Mike was definitely worth the price.

Mike was prompt, professional and very thorough in his inspection of the home we have under contract to purchase.  He clearly explained things to us during the inspection, answered all of our questions, and told us we could contact him post-inspection if we had any other questions.  He also let us know which inspection items were major concerns and which were not so we could make an informed decision on proceeding with the purchase of the home.  His report was clear and concise and also included photos, which was very helpful during the negotiation process.  Mike also arranged for a radon inspection for us.

he was there on time. He check and noted any issues. It was a foreclosure so he test the water pipes, I hear it's code procedure. Unfortunately i pipe did bust once i move in. But overall it was okay.
