Getting the job estimate was a simple call and John showed up on time and gave a solid estimate. We shook on it that day. On the day of the job, John's team showed up on time and were very professional. They did everything I needed and were quick and clean and polite. I'm very pleased with the tuckpointing in and out of the garage. They were on site for 7 hours due to the amount of work I needed. I had extensive cracking in my garage walls and foundation due to flooding and excessive water from the yard behind me. John gave me ideas to reduce the water issues also. They also did extra work on my front patio because John saw some minor issues. I'm very happy with their work and would hire them again.

They did a good job and the price was reasonable. The owner was here part of the time but when he left, the two workers that were here, left quite a mess for me; they got my windows all splashed and there were leaves and water all over the place. I was out there cleaning for a couple of hours. They did quite a lot of work and I had also asked him if I needed to get my whole house done at that time, he could have said yes but he said I do not need it yes; which was honest of him. I later called the owner to do some other work regarding my heating unit but he for some reason got snotty and snippy with me; so I will not be calling him again. I have mixed views about him; maybe I called him on a bad day.

They did a really great job at a very reasonable price. I asked about tuckpointing my whole house, and they were honest in saying I didn't need it at the time and the price quoted was very competitive.

I expected them to remove old mortar ( vinyl patch material applied by my father) down to 1/4 inch or so which I thought was standard practice. They just covered obvious areas and spalls. Had to request to go back over some spots. Left loose bricks in chimney opening under new liner and debris on floor. They did correct an improper hot water tank hook up w/o request. They were polite, prompt and met roofer's schedule.

overall - very well. He came and did the tuck pointing on the house, but did not have the chimney written down from the estimate and had to return to finish that.

John Doherty came out on short notice to help us. He explained what needed to be done and updated us as to what he found as the job went along. The fireplace was completely fixed within the week. Both John and the people working with him were easy to deal with and cleaned up after their work was done. We are planning to use them again when we get to fixing our chimneys.

It was great. John was extremely professional as was the rest of his crew. We needed almost our entire two-flat tuckpointed and a failing chimney capped. We also had the building powerwashed. The entire job took about 4 days. It would have been faster if not for the rain.

Home is over 75 years old and had never been tuckpointed and was in desparate need. Was having problems with water coming into home where mortar had worn away. Joined Angie's list and got 3 estimates. Bruno's Tuckpoining was INSANELY high (e.g. 7 times as much as Doherty). Randy and Don's Tuckpointing was also more than Doherty (e.g. 50% higher). Doherty came out the same day I called and provided a written estimate. Estimate was $4400 to do the home and garage. Doherty made it clear that he was giving me a great price. How right he was compared to the other estimates. When I called him to confirm I was accepting his bid, he informed me that he would be begin the work in two weeks. True to his word, he and his crew came out at 7:30 am and started the work two weeks later. The entire process took 3 days and the house and garage look great. The entire crew was professional and hardworking. They did their job and cleaned up afterwards. The owner, John Doherty, also did some additional work to help eliminate problems we were having with water in our basement. As a result we paid $5000 total. Still, well below the other two estimates and well worth it.

He came down and did the job well. The workers were all courteous and polite. The boss was very helpful. They cleaned up when they were finished. I paid what they said that I would. The brick matched very well. Overall, I was pleased with the workmanship and results.
