From the beginning, John, the owner of Tileworks was knowledgeable, engaged and professional in our interactions. I let him know what I was looking for - material for a countertop for my kitchen. I also let him know that I had financial constraints. After some questions from him, he showed by his responses that he understood my situation. He proceeded to show me some stone (quartzite and limestone) that I might like and although his inventory was limited, he was willing to look for what I had shown interest in. He agreed to let me know what he had found, and after a week, he got in touch with me and very patiently, due to some time issues on my end, explained what he had found. Due to some unexpected construction problems in my home, I was unable to commit the resources I previously thought were available for the counter. I explained this to John, who was understanding and very kind. If I could have, I would have stayed with Tileworks for my kitchen counter. This man is knowledgeable, and really does have lovely materials in his shop. I went to Tileworks because a friend had worked with John and had a good experience. My experience was good as well.

The research and ordering of the tile went beyond our expectation. We needed to compliment the remaining tiles in a shower stall in a home that was built in 1932. The owner provided us with expert help in the selection of tiles. We were able to utilize four different tile styles in our project that exceeded our imagination. His knowledge of the product and advice to our tile contractor was invaluable.
This is not a "big box" store and while we paid slightly more than our budget for the project, we could not have been more pleased. The selection of tiles in his shop were a better selection than what we saw in the "big box" stores complimented by his personal knowledge and expertise of the product.
When we purchase tile again, we will not hesitate to use Tileworks and would recommend this store to anyone.
