Steve has been our Mac hero for at least a decade. He IS the Tim Gun of Mac techs, in the sense that he can always "make it work" - but he is much sweeter and a good-hearted soul. As an example of his amazing skills, I can tell the story of our "soul-less" Mac. Years ago when iMacs first came out, we got one fast and cheap off of e-bay (never again! whole deal was very weird). I've been a loyal mac user since the 80s, so this is not in any way a knock on Macs, but rather I suspect the one we bought on e-bay had been damaged (like dropped or run over with a truck and refurbished or something - sorry, but the thing was evil). It crashed not one, not two, but THREE internal hard drives. Obviously we learned our lesson, and thankfully this was not our main work station computer, but in any case, we needed a solution while we saved up to get a new one. Steve actually made this thing work without any problems after doing a customized solution for that crazy computer. I swear he is magic! Anyway, we call on Steve for regular maintenance as well as emergencies, and he always delivers. He is also a very calm and easy-going guy, and let me tell ya, that is a very comforting when there is a computer emergency because I know everything will be okay when Steve comes. He makes what he does look so easy (and I know it is not), but whatever comes up is not ever a problem for him, and that "peace of mind" quality alone make Steve a real gem.
