When I arrived on that date, my dress was hanging and nothing AT ALL had been done to it. They did not apologize and made it seem like it was my error (who would have expected that they meant they would start work on it in two weeks, instead of a fitting??) In the end, the dress was suitably finished, but I had to pick up my dress on the same day that I left. And I spent two days panicking that it wouldn't be done.
Description of Work: I brought in my wedding dress with significant alterations needed with 2 and a 1/2 weeks. I understand that is a steep order! I was told to come back for a fitting two days before my flight was to leave for my wedding.

After some weight loss I planned to purchase new suits but I could not find anything I liked as well as the suits that I already had. I brought in a couple of suits and had Sharry alter them to fit. They came out perfect so I brought in more clothes to alter. I am very happy with her work. she had me try on the close to make sure they fit right. Most did but two pairs of slacks needed some adjustments which she made right away. Sharry is very focused on making sure the customer is completely satisfied. I will continue to bring my alterations and cleaning here.
Description of Work: In three separate orders, I had several suits, slacks, a jacket and two pairs of shorts altered. In addition I had Sharry put pockets in a pair of jersey pants. I had a white jacket with stains on the cuffs cleaned.

Great. Called at the last minute to request same day service because of travel plans. The work was completed in a few hour and I was called when the work was done, earlier in the day than expected. We were amazed at the reasonable price and great service.

There were two major factors in my nerve-racking search for a tailor. 1) This was my first 'tailoring experience.' 2) My job has evolved to visiting more clients, and so I had to make a huge investment in suits. So there I am, not knowing a tailor and having made an investment in clothes... what to do?! I searched yelp and Angie's list quite extensively and settled on Quality Alterations. I went in with the intention of just leaving a piece or two to "test." Sherry immediately won me over and offered every reassurance. I wound up leaving all pieces there and a week later I got the call saying everything was done. She encouraged me to try it on the the store and would correct anything that I wasn't 100% satisfied with (turned out everything was perfect). I definitely will be back to Sherry for my alterations!
Description of Work: I had 9 pieces. 4 skirts needed the sides taken in. 5 jackets needed the sleeves shortened.

Sherry does a wonderful job with alterations. I've given her numerous pairs of pants and jeans to take in and to re-hem and they have all come out excellently. She also did a nice job on a dress, the straps of which were too long for my torso. The dry cleaning is well-done (I believe they send out the cleaning). All the prices are very fair. My only complaint is there have been a few items that I got back that had dry cleaning fumes that I could smell. I aired them out and that solved the problem. However, I would prefer not to be reminded of the chemicals and have not had this before with dry cleaners. Other than that, which may be a common issue with cleaners these days, I have only praise for the work they do.

I had a bridesmaid dress that required major alterations to accommodate my pregnancy. I wasn't sure if it would be possible with this dress without completely removing the back zipper and redoing the entire back of the dress, but Sharry managed to find enough places to let it out that this was not necessary. The dress is still perfectly proportioned and looks great. I thought the price was a tad high, but Sharry was very prompt about completing it and in the end it was still much cheaper than buying a new dress or completely redoing the back of this dress. I would definitely use Quality Alterations again.

I won't go anywhere else from now on.
Description of Work: Never had better alterations. This is the way service used to be when everything was run by families and they cared about the customer. I could not believe that the second time I walked in she said my name without a second delay. My jaw dropped. It's nice to be appreciated. They altered two suits and a sport coat. Even pressed one suit for free. On time. Wonderful people.

Again, we've used Quality numerous times and every job was a positive experience from every aspect.
Description of Work: Not to scare anyone, but the amount spent that I include above is for multiple jobs. I first went to Quality (sorry, I don't know the woman's name) to get a new pair of suit slacks hemmed and I never looked back. Since that first job we've had everything done from coat liner replacement to couch slip-cover alteration. All jobs were done in a timely fashion and and very affordable price. She even gave us cookies at Christmastime.

Work was carefully and promptly done, and prices were exactly as stated. Shari was very personable, gave prices up front, and called us when the repairs were completed. We will definitely go back and would highly recommend this business.
Description of Work: Totally replaced a torn interior vest pocket on a man's sport jacket. Shortened sleeves on a woman's embroidered linen blouse that had been worn through at the elbow. Also created a patch to repair a worn elbow on a woman's rayon tunic. These were favorite items of clothing that we would not have been unable to continue wearing if it had not been for Shari's excellent repairs.

She has very reasonable prices and she is up front about what things will cost; not all dry cleaners do that. Everything is ready when she says it will be ready. One day she told me she was going to close at 4:00 but my son was napping so I figured I was out of luck. She called me and asked me if I wanted to come pick up my pieces and she said she would wait until 4:30 for me. That was really sweet and she didn’t have to do that; she is a really nice lady. I am always amazed at the price. My one problem is that she opens at 9:00 so I can’t drop things off on my way to work, but it is definitely worth it to work around her schedule.

i brought in the items on a saturday and went to pick them up the next saturday. they were nowhere to be found - not under the letter of my last name in any sorting system. as the owner wasn't there, i left my cell phone number for them to call when they found my items. within a few hours i got a call - the items were in another section of the shop. i was able to pick them up before closing that same day.
Description of Work: brought in 6 items, including one sweater with a small hole, and another with a tear. all items were repaired for a reasonable price and the sweaters, which i thought were not salvageable are fine. i plan to go back there with for alterations.

I met with Sharry on 2/2/10 and she had me try on each piece that needed to be altered. She was very careful in pinning everything or marking each piece so that she would know (and so would I) exactly what she would do. The lined blazer was too long overall so I wanted to have it shortened by about 3 inches and to add side vents so that when I sat, I wouldn't be in danger of popping the button. Sharry wrote up the order and was a bit concerned that I would think that $25.00 was too much to rework the blazer. Considering how much work needed to be done, I thought it was a bargain! I picked up everything 2/16/10 (about a week after everything was ready) and while there, I tried on the blazer. But Sharry and I were very pleased with how it turned out. I tried on the sundress and bathing suit when I got home and everything is perfect. Sharry is a great seamstress and does excellent work.
Description of Work: I had straps on a swimsuit shortened, a sun dress shortened, both from the straps and at the hem, and had a blazer shortened and added vents.

I went in on a Monday afternoon to have the dress fitted. She said it could be done by Friday afternoon, since it was for a Saturday event. She quoted me the cost at that time. When I picked up the dress on Friday, she actually charged me $2 less than the original quote, since she said it wasn't as difficult as she anticipated. I'll definitely go back for all of my future alterations.

The panels were mistakenly made up with lining from the original drapes, which I did not want because they wouldn't gather properly with so much excess fabric. The panels needed to be redone to remove the lining. When I got the drapes home and hung them they hem was significantly uneven and needed to be taken back and evened-out. Both changes were done for no extra charge. The quality of the work is excellent and the drapes and panel now look great. I wish she had ironed the drapes after doing the alternations. I had to do that myself before rehanging the drapes. This whole process took close to a month.
Description of Work: I had custom-made pinch pleat draperies that used to be in my living room. I wanted them cut-down to fit my kitchen window. I wanted the excess fabric made into two panels to cover the glass inset in my kitchen door. I brought in my old custom made kitchen drapes and panels so the exact sizing could followed by Hanna.

It went great! Sherry is a highly skilled seamstress. I have saved thousands over the years by having her alter my cloths to fit, including complex work on jackets, adding extra belt loops from the fabric left over when hemming pants and others difficult work.

This was a big job. The whole process took a full week. Leroy and his helper spent one full day covering everything with paper and plastic. Then they sanded the cupboards and started painting. The color we picked out for the cupboards had a tinge of pinkish yellow in it which we didn't like. Leroy offered to respray the cupboards for no extra cost. He wanted to make sure we were happy with the job. In the end, the cupboards look like creme frosting. That's how smooth and silky they appear. He did an excellent job. Since then, I've had him back to paint the interior of my garage and garage floor. He's painting our foyer, stairwell and family room next week. A good painter is hard to find. Leroy is a find.
Description of Work: Complete repaint of kitchen and butlers pantry, ceiling, crown molding, walls, cabinets and baseboards. The cabinets were sanded and then spray painted, all other surfaces were rolled or brushed. All holes were patched and caulking replaced. Everything was also covered to prevent spray paint for getting on other surfaces or into other parts of the house. All paint was top of the line Sherwin Williams.
