+ 0 moreI had a fantastic in store sales experience with Adam. Picking out a dining room table and chairs was proving a daunting task for me, given all of the many options. Immediately upon entering the store, I was met with a genuine smile and offer to help. From there Adam helped make my decisions painless and actually enjoyable! He was so helpful, offering options and suggestions - it was just what I needed. He wasn't overbearing, but rather supremely helpful. Had he not been so knowledgeable I may have walked away frustrated and empty-handed. Stores need more like him. He is one in a million. The furniture on the floor is beautiful and well crafted AND made in America. I will definitely be back. Note: The furniture is being custom made currently. I will report back on the rest of the experience.

They went above and beyond the call of duty to make a minor repair on one of my chairs that I had had for two years. I cannot recommend them highly enough and feel that anyone looking for quality wood furniture must go visit Plain & Simple
Description of Work: I simply love this store and am a repeat customer many times over. The quality of the furniture is amazing, the pieces feel as smooth as glass and the wood is simply beautiful. I’ve had several pieces made to my specifications (size, color of stain, style, etc.) and have always gotten what I wanted. To date, I’ve purchased a fabulous dining room table (with built in hidden storage for extra leaves) and six comfortable DR chairs; a beautiful buffet and a two piece hutch (with “magical” interior lighting) for the dining room; as well as a TV/equipment stand for our huge flat screen TV, four kitchen chairs, and two large custom made bookcases (8 feet tall to match the height of my woodwork). Although they have lots of samples in the store, their portfolio picture books offer MANY more options on all kinds of furniture for every room of the house. And if you want, you can even design your own (like our bookcases). When I compare the cost of their furniture to most retail stores, I feel the price is very reasonable. I found the prices below those of retail furniture stores and the quality, construction and sturdiness of the furniture so much better than brand name stores.

+ -1 moreI was not happy with them and the way they do business. I ordered a coffee table and later a matching end table. When the end table came, I didn't think it was made well. I realize that wood (in this case, maple) has an irregular grain, but I thought the end table had way too much imperfection. I didn't accept it and asked them to make a better piece for me. They took back the end table (luckily I hadn't yet paid for it). They never put in another order for me and just dropped me, so to speak. So I'm stuck with a coffee table for which I don't have a matching end table. I've since discovered the Amish store in Deerfield, and that's where I'll take my business from now on for that type of furniture.
