They did a beautiful hardscaping job,l for me. They were professional, punctual, affordably priced and the finished design was more beautiful than I imagined. Outstanding work!

They were to remove the leaves from my lawn. In my city, leaves are brought to the curb, and the city comes and picks them up. Instead of removing the leaves, they pushed them into the walkway between my house and my neighbors house. Mind you, my neighbor had just paid someone extra to take care of their leaves. Needless to say, after my leaves were there, my neighbor had leaves EVERYWHERE! I called them on Friday (right after I saw the mess), and here it is Monday, with no communications from the company. The work done only made a huge mess.

Horrible experience. Not only did they not complete the work contracted, but they had to "fix it" multiple times. Similar to the previous review, they stopped responding and stopped showing up. I've never had an experience like this where a business refuses to reply to a paying customer. Any time we asked about why something was not completed or why it was completed in the manner it was, they had excuses. Please save yourself the money of paying for work twice and go with someone else. I should have trusted the other poor reviews and not given them a shot.

"We are sorry you feel that way. Doing repairs on previous stone steps is sometimes a challenge for everybody since we can't anticipate what unfolds as the job progresses. The step repair that you weren't happy about was the consiquence of it not being installed properly the first time.Once we removed and disassembled the stones we saw that it had old concrete and glue stuck to them which prevented us from making it look "perfect" like you mentioned that you wanted it to look. Despite you not being happy the first time we did go back 3 TIMES to re-install certain stones you weren't happy with. At one point we mentioned that in order to make it look perfect we must discard all the stones and purchase new ones at which you mentioned that" it wasn't within your budget at the moment". We did all we could with the resources that we had.If you want projects to look perfect;please completely remove the existing material and start from scratch, you will always be able to tell when something is repaired."

Leon's came highly recommended by several neighbors but we cannot recommend their service. I should have been tipped off from the initial quoting, which felt very dismissive, and the quote given, which was not detailed so I wasn't sure if they understood the project but it wasn't a complicated project so I thought it'd be all right. The concrete removal went great, they worked very fast. But they never dug down to replace with the brick pavers!! This has resulted in a patio that is inches HIGHER than the yard and surrounding space. They then charged me another $150 to add some dirt around the sides to slope up to the patio. My husband had to go through and re-do all the surrounding area with new sod and replace pavers that lead into the patio. Additionally, they built the step into the alley too far out so our gate doesn't close all the way. Maybe there was a reason they didn't dig down but there was zero communication from them until the whole project was complete. Now that we've gone through and fixed everything, it looks great, and I admit the actual brick laying looks really nice. But for the amount of money paid, I expect more communication.

"We are very sorry you feel this way. Our proposal and the job was pretty straightforward and self explanatory. We include all requirements set by the village of inches for base as a standard practice in our work. We can't set new level of patio at same height as previous patio since the old patio was sunken/cracked and water collected in it (hence the reason for new patio). In order to prevent water accumulation in a new patio installation all new patio levels should be higher than than the previous one and also higher than the grass,if allowed by house foundation., It would defeat the purpose to not follow standard rule of thumb when it comes to this type of work. Also we did repair the step in front of gate since we had a new height in step vs previous step."

He showed up without warning and started the paver work in February (not a good idea with the weather, although it was warm that week). The workers didn't have the best tools to cut the pavers/stone. Therefore there are many areas that have chipped edges. He told me he would replace some stones but hasn't come back and won't respond (it's been over a month). While doing the landscaping, the workers adjusted one of the pavers that wasn't level (per my request) and they haven't come back to refill it it sand. In addition, they installed the polymeric sand for the pavers and did not follow the instructions (install and temperature requirements). The landscaping looks nice. Although, there doesn't appear to be much thought in the layout or size of plants.

It was okay. You had to tell them to do things that you wanted done but overall, it was not bad.
