I got locked out of my garage and I hired them to basically break through my garage door so I could get to my house key and they couldn’t do it. Where the screws were, it’s a standard lock, it’s not like a mystery. I don’t want to ruin anybody’s business, but they should be able to do a breaking and entering, which is a standard protocol. Anyway, they couldn’t do it, but for key making and stuff they’re fine. Price - I think they’re reasonable and within the average area. Will I use the service again? No! They are good for very simple problems.

They sent a knowledgeable locksmith who came on schedule, fixed our lock problems, explained all and worked quickly to keep costs downs.

Great - technician was on time and had the work finished in about 45 minutes.

Key cylinder on the outside of a dead bolt lock wouldn't work. Key just spun in the cylinder, so couldn't lock front door from the outside. It worked from the inside. Husband called Johnson and was told it was an easy fix but required taking apart the lock and replacing the broken part. We are not mechanically inclined and decided that the possibility of not being able to reassemble the lock and having an unlocked door was not acceptable. So we opted for the service call.
Service man came out that day and fixed the lock.

When I moved into my new apartment, the lawyer told me to go to Johnson Locksmith to have the place re-keyed. and quot;They're really the only locksmith in Evanston.and quot; She said. and quot;But they're good.and quot; The guy arrived right on time and finished the job very quickly (and on a Saturday, after a few inches of snow). He even opened up one lock that was sticking and fixed it by bending something. I'm very happy with them, and even happier that all my locks don't open with different keys now.

Their work ethic was excellent. I was concerned before he begun because I have unusual locks. He told me I didn't have to replace my locks, they just needed to be oiled and repaired. He was informative, and was clear about what he was going to do. He was prompt and his pricing was good. He even replaced a light bulb I couldn't reach! I would highly recommend him.

Everything transpired as expected.

All went well except that when I arrived, one man was in the back, on the phone, and another in another back room, making keys. I wasn't sure if anyone knew I was there, so after 3-4 minutes I asked if only one person was a key maker. Then I was helped promptly and courteously. I wish they had a bell or someone had said and quot;Be with you in a couple of minutesand quot;

They were due to come at 9:00 AM and he showed up 10 minutes early and started working right away. I thought they needed completely replaced. He was able to find out all they needed was to be repaired. All 3 locks in my home were repaired and the price was very reasonable. I was expecting the bill to be at least $200 and it was well under that. I was extremely pleased. He even helped me change a light bulb! Even the owner who I spoke on the phone with was very courteous. I will highly recommend them.

Unable to lock the deadbolt on our front door, I phoned on a Saturday morning expecting to pay for "emergency" service. Instead, a technician came out within 2 hours and performed several repairs for a perfectly reasonable fee. Prompt, efficient, professional, and informative -- offering tips for ongoing maintenance and security we could implement on our own.

They are very professional. They showed up on time. I would recommend them. They are very good and knowledgeable. I would use them again in a heart beat. They knew exactly what they were doing.

The locksmith came during the scheduled time and was extremely friendly. When we had a slight problem with the lock later that day, he returned the following day to fix the (minor) problem.
