Evanston Handyman

A woodpecker had drilled a hole for a winter home at a corner where the roof meets the siding. They came out, fixed the hole, repainted the area, and were gone in under two hours. The price was just fine.

Evanston Handyman is an excellent company and I intend to use them again. Professional to work with and they were prompt! For me it's been a good find.

These guys do good work but it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. I see them around the neighborhood so the business still exists. They don't seem to care very much about getting new customers or keeping the old ones. I'm assigning a grade of "F" on all counts because it might get their attention. Perhaps others will have better luck.

Nils is truly a pleasure to work with. He interacted with me via my preferred modes of communication. He communicates very clearly. He tells me when he thinks he can't do something, and he keeps to his estimates. He's a pleasure to work with, and all his work has been meticulous. He recommended a friend for painting, and his friend was likewise fantastic to work with. I cannot say what a relief it is to have found a handyman I can work with so well. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

It was a pleasure to have Nils on the job. Promptly replied to Angie's List messages, showed up right on time on each visit, gets right to work, careful, neat, cleans up afterwards, great eye for detail. Will definitely call on Nils again when there's another fix it job beyond my wheelhouse.

Nils was attentive to both the structural and the aesthetic details of the job--his approach to the job was workmanlike and creative at the same time. The finished studio space is therefore unique and I am very, very pleased with the results. He completed the work within budget and was professional in all respects.
