It went great. Not only did I find them to be the most knowledgeable of the 3 companies that gave us estimates, but they were the only one which was able to figure out how to cool the entire home with just one system in the attic (the others said they'd have to put in 2 systems including one in the basement, which would have cost several thousand dollars more). The work took the exact time they said it would and the workers cleaned up every day. You'd hardly know they'd been there. I'm sure we'll appreciate it even more in August when we'll be cool!

They cleaned out the drain and I am very pleased with the work. They were also very efficient.

I spoke with Anna to schedule, who was very helpful. She was able to give me a four hour window on the day of my choice, and explained that the dispatcher would call my husband when the technicians were about to arrive (important since we had not moved into the home yet--my husband didn't have to wait around in an empty house but could run errands around town). She carefully explained all the charges, right down to the $4.00 shoe cover fee. On the scheduled day, the technician Adam called to ask if he could come a little earlier than scheduled. That worked for us, so we met him at the house. He was very courteous and professional, answered some additional questions that we had, and got down to work. He finished earlier than estimated by the service manager, which was a nice development. One of things we really liked was that he was very honest about the service schedule and reassured us about items that were working perfectly fine and would not need to be replaced any time soon. We really appreciate that as new homeowners. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely use this company again.

They are very good. I was very pleased with them. They were expensive but were very good. They do all sorts of things, they do heating and a plumbing division. They were very professional and trustworthy. The house feels better. They were knowledgeable about their trade. They were on time. They were accommodating.

AVH's price quote was a few hundred dollars higher than the other quotes we got, but AVH (and specifically JR Elmer) was the only company that designed the system in such a way that it would not interfere with future renovation work in our basement. The workmen were polite, professional, and did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. The Spacepak system works exactly as promised. I would highly recommend AVH to anyone considering Spacepak.

They were very professional during the bid process and I liked them a lot. We chose another vendor who was also rated highly on Angie's List and had quite a bit of experience in doing this sort of work in the building we are remodeling. Some of the older buildings in our city are quite tricky to work in and we wanted to go with a company that had knowledge of this specific building. Nevertheless, the company was very detailed in the proposal they put forth for the job, and we appreciated that. I would certainly recommend that people give this company an opportunity to make their case and put up a reasonable bid before they make a decision because they are highly rated on Angie's List, were professional in their quote process, and seemed quite competent in their field.

In our quest to install an A/C system in the 2nd floor unit of our 2-flat we considered both mini-duct systems and passive (conventional) systems. American Vintage provided one of three estimates we got for mini-duct systems, and I was thoroughly impressed with this company. JR Elmer seemed to have an excellent knowledge of mini-duct systems and was particularly impressive in relaying his experience with Spacepak. I truly think these guys are one of the best, if not THE best, mini-duct installers available. With that said, you'd expect their prices to be a little on the high side, and for us they were. We ended up going with another installer simply for that reason.

Called to set appointment - start to finish lady on phone was professional and squeezed us in to make certain we had heat - had me speak with one of the technicians while setting the appointment to further describe the furnace and possible flame things they might need. The service techs arrived the next day and not only were they proficient and professional, they were helpful and offered advice regarding Spring and getting our radiant heating system cleaned along with the furnace being better maintained and separating and installing digital heat controllers. They also clarified bleeding the radiators and when that should be done. They lit the pilot, and changed out some tubing as well as checking on the insulation factors of the furnace and the bricks inside. We will be having them back in the Spring to do everything they outlined!

They have been competent,reliable and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. Their prices are fair and the technicians are good.

Marek came out to give us a quote and was very professional and got back to us with the quote the next day. Everything was laid out in detail and the price was fair so we chose to have the work done. We replaced all the horizontal pipes in our basement to increase overall water pressure and specifically hot water. We also purchased a new hot water heater. The job took a little longer than we'd hoped (4 days as opposed to 2-3) but Sherman was an incredibly hard worker and stayed late to make sure we had water over the weekend. He was always on time and very professional. I would definitely choose American Vintage again.

Installation was completed on time and to the specifications we agreed upon. I am completely satisfied with the unit, where everything was placed and how the installation was conducted.

It went great. They were very professional. They were very careful with everything around them, and very clean. We took a vacation and they paused and picked up right after we got back.

They were on time each morning, dealt well with our two dogs (who tend to bark a lot and are high energy Labradors), and did excellent work. Our crew, Wally and Rob, were fantastic in that they took extra care to do things that would make life easier for us. For example, we originally thought the electric lines from the attic to the condenser outside would need to be run on the outside of the house but they found a way to run them inside; a much more attractive option we were thrilled with. They also found a way to put the thermostat in a easy-to-reach place (not behind our large TV) and still integrate it with our radiator system thermostat (which was behind the TV); we now have an integrated unit that is well placed. Wally did an excellent job communicating and explaining things to me and working with me to figure out which options might work best. Rob also did a great job explaining things. They left the places they worked cleaner than when they arrived and were always careful to cover furniture and other items around the areas they worked. Their supervisor will visiting in 1 to 2 weeks to examine the system and ensure that everything is working well. Merrick, who gave us the estimate, was also excellent, clearly knew his stuff and worked with us to find out what fit our needs. When we were trying to determine which of two different condensers we wanted he gave us the break even in terms of how long it would take to get our money back. We are having him come to give us an estimate on servicing/fixing/replacing a forced air system that was already in place to cover the other part of the house. Dimitri, who seems to supervise the different crews and did the walk through with Wally, also knows his stuff and spotted some things that helped make the process go much smoother. His customer relationship skills could use some work, so be prepared for that. He was quite abrupt at times, which almost felt condescending. When we realized that integrating the cooling and radiator thermostats might mean putting them behind our large TV he asked whether we could rearrange our room (and seemed to think that was the best option) rather than starting by talking about how they could do workarounds. He seemed to emphasize the difficulty and issues around trying to work with us to find another place for the thermostat to me, it would have been better to explain the issue, then describe what they could try to do, then ask (ONCE) whether we could move the room; it just would feel completely different. All in all, we had an excellent experience and would definitely go back to this company again.

They were great. The price was what they quoted us. They said how long it would take and they didn't take longer. They were really clean, it was unbelievable.

JR came over and gave me an estimate and worked very hard to make sure they they could get the work done two weeks after he came by the house. The crew was very professional got the job done in 5 days.

Overall, not a great experience. JR came out to give a quote on Space Pac, and did a wonderful job. He was very thorough and obviously knows his stuff. Once the project was passed off to field it fell apart, primarily because of poor communication and customer service abilities of his Field Manger, Dimitri. I found Dimitri to be condescending and also seems to have an explosive temper. Not a great pick for your Field Manager. The workers were competent enough, but damaged my carpeting and fascia board during the project, which Dimitri just blew off as unimportant (apparently I am just a silly woman). There was also no communication from the workers as far as progress on the job. Clean up was fine. I was stood up twice by them for the final walk through appointment, which is the main reason I gave them an F for responsiveness.

The engineer who came to do the initial bid was wonderful and thorough. Our situation was complicated, and he was patient and complete in explaining options. However, I later discovered that not all the info we shared was passed on to the installation techs (IE, that two rooms on second floor were always cooler than others....they still are, and the engineer who did the final inspection said they didn't know that info, and access those ducts is now obstructed by the new furnace!). The installation techs were thoughtful and careful of my toddler son and two cats, but their final clean-up was less than impressive on both halves of the job. We also had several communication problems in scheduling the second half of the work, and we have yet to receive our key back!

Good. They performed the job quickly and I was able to get them to the house on the same day as the call. They apparently under-quoted me a price for the job over the phone, and when they showed up they wanted approximately $500 to do the job. However, I complained, they relented, and charged me the original under-quoted price.

Horrible: the technician told us that the boiler couldn't be repaired, but would need replacing. He went on to tell us not to buy from American Vintage, but to buy a boiler from a friend of his. We went on to get the problem fixed by another company for $300.

We would definitely recommend them. They are the best service people we've dealt with in the last year. They are very responsive. The guys were really polite and helpful. If we had questions, they got back to us right away. Their communication was good. They did what they said they were going to do. We were very happy.

They were thoroughly professional from A to Z. We set a timely appointment, they showed up on time. The plumber showed me his results and even sketched me a picture for further/future reference. I have used them before when I had a blocked sink drain and was impressed that they understood my predicament of having a young baby and thus really needing my sink and turned up within a couple of hours - unlike a competitor who gave me a wait time of days, not hours. I will continue to use them for their professionalism and high standard of work.

They have been our choice company for four years now. I think they do a fairly professional job. They always do arrive at the time that they say they will. I think their prices are competitive. They always respond quickly to any concerns. We have had some inconsistent work in the past so now I ask them to send me their best people to do the job and I haven't had any trouble since.

American Vintage Home is licensed and insured. The service man was very nice and I really liked him. The job went well. He was very careful and did an excellent and thorough job. He was also very professional and courteous. They sent him out very promptly.

Everything went just great. In fact, they are going to have to do a modification to my heating system here soon. They were very professional and I had no problems with them at all. The charge really all depends on the construction in the house and the time they are here. I thought they were fairly priced though.
