He replaced my universal remote and a new reciever. Overall, my experience was great. I would highly recommend them.

Daniel was the technician and did an excellent job! He ensured that the antenna would pull in as many broadcast channels as possible including CBS which is the most difficult channel to receive. In all, we receive over 70 channels and have cut the U-Verse cable cord. We have signed up for Netflix, Hulu Plus & Amazon Prime and have cut our monthly TV costs significantly. Universal Home Theater made the switch very easy. We will recoup the cost of this installation in 10 months. Daniel was professional, efficient and cleaned up after the job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Universal again.

Did more than I expected. They also cleaned up after themselves and disposed of the tv box for us. We were very pleased, and recommended them to others in the building.

They came out and mounted and hooked up my stereo system to my tv. They were fantastic and professional.

Virgil was awesome and I can't complement him enough! Our non-profit center was having issues with the video quality in three rooms and the speaker quality in a couple of rooms were not that great. The AV system was installed about 15 years ago and only portions of the building were updated. The only person with knowledge of the system had passed away a few years ago so we didn't really know how things were connected. 5 other companies declined to do the work. Virgil was very responsive, prompt, and courteous throughout the process. He took the time to try to investigate the wiring connections during the initial meeting and he also pointed out that one of our tv's was not mounted properly and could be an issue. Thank goodness he did that because when we tried to adress it internally, it fell off the wall right away. He provided a quote within a few days and I thought it was very reasonable. We have a long review and approval process for work above a certain cost which took over a month. Virgil was very patient and accommodating. Virgil and his other team member were prompt on the day of the repair. It turned out that the wiring situation was more complicated than originally thought and it took longer than they anticipated. They were able to troubleshoot and the results were great. The speakers ended up not being compatible to what was already there but he said that the connections were not done correctly so that addressed. We were able to negotiate to the original estimated price with all of the changes. Even though it impacted their next appointment, Virgil took the time to explain what was done and how things were connected for our future reference. Great to work with.

Virgil and his partner were on time, very polite and respectful, clean, and quick. They showed us how it would look, helped us understand our options, worked quickly and left zero mess. They also helped us cover some open surround-sound sockets that had wires just hanging - and he didnt even charge us for that. They were super helpful, reasonably priced, and extremely friendly. I will hire them for any related thing we need in the future.

They were really friendly! Virgil tested every single component of my stereo system and he ordered the part, came back and installed it. He fixed it and it works great now!

The connector on my HDMI cable running from the projector to the receiver had become loose and eventually snapped off. The cable was run thru the wall during construction of my house so replacing it would not be easy. I called Virgil who I found thru Angie's list and I'm very glad I did because the other positive reviews were spot on. Virgil was up front about my options as well as pricing and took care of the problem in a proffesional and timely manner. I highly recommend Virgil and will definitely use him again in the future.

I found Virgil to be prompt, courteous, professional and very
knowledgeable. His prep before the job on the phone was exceptional, and
when he came to the job site had all the necessary tools, supplies etc.
Since this was a plasma TV of 58and quot; size up on the wall his work
performance fitted the task at hand. He was patient in explaining what
to watch out for when the movers transported the Plasma TV. Highly
recommend him.

I called Universal after finding them on Angie's list during my lunch. Virgil the owner came out about two hours later. I thought that was great since I was so anxious to get my TV's put up. He arrived with another technician and evaluated the areas were I wanted theTV's mounted. He then explained the process and begain to mount. He checked with me on each TV to make sure this is were I wanted them height wise. He was very clean and efficient. I already bought the mounts but he let me know he had mounts if I ever needed another installation. He said he could save me some money vs the big box stores. From start to finish the job took about 2 hrs. The price was a little higher due to the fact I needed to purchase longer HDMI cables. I was satisfied and would recommend Universal to anyone who asked.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Very professional and best of all Virgil knows his stuff. Virgil and his worker came to my house and got to work right away. They took a look at all of my equipment and installed everything with ease. Very detailed oriented. That's what you would want from anyone you hire! I also had some questions about my router which he took time to answer and explain everything to me.

I needed to have a flat screen TV taken down and a larger one hung and installed on short notice. Another contractor had come out that day and not had the supplies available and could only come back a week later. I used Angie's List to locate Universal Home Theater, and luckily, they made arrangements to come out within about an hour. They came on time, were extremely customer service oriented, had all the necessary supplies on hand (even ones we hadn't known would be needed). Within a short visit everything was hung, fully functioning, and back in order. (Actually functioning better than before because they notified me that my surround sound and previously not been working properly, but it was after their visit.) Another company had tried to sell me additional, costly components, which Universal assured me was not necessary for me to spend money on in order for the TV to function properly, so they aimed to save me money, too. They were extremely informative, efficient, quick, priced right and sought to save us money. They are coming out again this week to help me with another item. I definitely recommend Universal and will continue to use their service.

Universal Home Theater were pretty good. They were also prompt and professional.

I bought the Angie's List big deal for their TV mounting services which kept the cost low. They did a good job, but I don't think we took full advantage of their capabilities. They arrived on time, were curteous and worked quickly. I will call them again if I have a more involved home theater need.

Virgil was tremendous. He was very punctual and helpful, and came out the next day after I called for an appointment. I will gladly use their services again.

Virgil responded promptly to all of my communications with him. He and Peter arrived at the designated time. The job was done with an eye toward attention to detail. The furniture was placed perfectly in relation to the mounted TV. All video and audio connections were done properly, even though I had previously made an incorrect video connection. I knew the connection was incorrect, but I didn't how to fix it. As the work was being done, care was given to make sure all debris was collected , thereby leaving the area in pristine condition. Before leaving, Virgil made sure all parts of my home theater system worked properly. That's what I call service!

I was about to go on Angie's List to research some companies for an install, and the timing of this Angie's List Big Deal was perfect. However, after talking to Virgil, it sounded like we may be better off pricing it differently because we needed the electrical hook up as well. He came out to my home and looked at the job and gave me very competitive pricing. He also credited me for something (can't remember?) that I would not have had to pay for if I had purchased the Big Deal.

The day of the install, Virgil and another guy arrived on time and ready to begin. I appreciated their willingness to come on a Saturday so I didn't have to rearrange my work schedule. I had a furniture delivery that was suppose to happen prior to their arrival and of course they were late -- so both things were happening at once. Virgil was so wonderful trying to work around it. They were prompt and worked efficiently and were done within 1 1/2 hours.

Overall, excellent work and very satisfied! I would hire them next time around as well.

Overall, this experience couldn't have gone any better. Obviously, this small company understands customer service better than most. They were outstanding and we will use them again when we need to make changes ot our home system.

He was excellent. He was reliable, prompt and helpful.

They installers arrived on time, got right to work and worked non stop until the job was complete. They were professional, efficient and courteous. They had previously come out to look over the work site and obtain our specifications as to what we wanted done and how we wanted it done. They provided an estimate for the job and included in the estimate all variations that could possibly occur and the differences in the price for each scenerio. We had no surprises in our pricing and were totally satisfied with the entire installation. The second television re-mounting was requested after the installers arrived and they were professional in agreeing to add this to the already existing job.

Virgil did a fantastic job. He called ahead to let us know he was coming, and arrived on time. They did a professional job and cleaned up after they completed the job. Without charge, he helped diagnose some issues with my A/V receiver and made some good suggestions. I will definitely use his services again, and I highly recommend him.

Virgil was professional from our first contact with him. He knew right away what we needed when we asked hima bout it on the phone, made the appointment, called to confirm it, and called to let me know he was on his way, which was right on time. When he arrived, he was polite, patient, informative and extremely competent. He answered questions completely and clearly, and explained the necessary procedures, then gave me a chance to write down the steps and walk through the procedures myself. He used the cables we had on hand rather than charging me for new ones, and when we needed a short hi-def cable and he did not have a short one, he charged me the price for a short cable and installed a longer one, explaining that if we updated the set of upstairs equipment, we would want to use the longer cable and buy a shorter one, which will be cheaper for us at that time. He encouraged me to buy a universal remote rather than working with the three we have for our main set, but when I said I wanted to wait for that service, he didn't push the sale, and taught me to use what we have in place now.

His rate was based on hourly service, which he said would be cheaper for us than charging us for the three sets, which he normally does. I felt his pricing was a good value for the level of service he offered. He gave me his card and encouraged me to call him anytime with questions on the procedures we had discussed.

I enthusiastically recommend this company to other users of Angie's List. I will certainly call again myself if I need additional home theater service.
