Edward got into every part of this house, areas that where rather difficult to get into. From the time Edward arrived on the inspection site he conducted himself with the most professional attitude. He took me around to all the problem areas and explained the problem in detail, even though he was to provide a very detailed report.

I highly recommend EM Home Inspections.
I wish I could be as thorough with my review as Ed was with the inspection of the home and the detailed report with pictures that followed within 24 hours. I was very comfortable with my decision to hire EM Home Inspections because along with his licensing credentials and great reviews, Ed is a fireman. I think this offers an extra bonus to the inspection process since he no doubt has different experiences with home safety hazards that may otherwise go unnoticed. Ed pointed out some very obvious fire hazard concerns hidden in closets that I would have never thought about. As well he noticed tripping hazards and asked who would be in the home when he checked out the garage door that was missing the safety sensor.  Most of these concerns I might have never noticed and better to have it all on a list to make sure each are taken care of before it becomes a problem or an accident.
Ed continued his inspection crawling around a dirty attic and crawl space finding things I would have never found until it did become a problem and by that time probably more costly repairs. This home has a new roof but Ed found some gaps at the chimney vent that could leak rain into the house. He also discovered a ?few? foundation cracks that are cause for greater concern and further investigation.
Ed was very thorough and careful explaining my options and suggesting how I should go about looking into it further. Ed was patient with my questions and made sure I understood how to operate systems I had reservations about such as the fireplace.
Ed arrived early and completed the exterior before I arrived. He was considerate to the home owner bringing with him clean and dry shoes and the equipment needed to complete the inspection.

I will hire EM Home Inspections again should something go wrong with this deal.

EM is a top notch Home Inspection firm and I recommend them highly. Very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and quite thorough, they were available two days after I first contacted them. Showed up on time and with all gear needed. In addition to normal inspection gear, They had thermal imaging camera that even caught a damp spot under a bathroom that wouldn't have been found by any other means (no discoloration or other sign). Tested all appliances (except AC due to weather and washer). Due to snow, roof wasn't inspected, but spent extra time in attic. Report was complete and included solid recommendations prioritized with safety first (to be expected as owner is fireman). Price was reasonable, plus the 5% Angie's List Discount made it even nicer. Spent a long time at property to ensure everything was thoroughly reviewed. Definitely strong recommendation for Ed and his team.

This is the second time I have used Ed as a home inspection.  the last property I was about to purchase it turned out to be quite the lemon and needed an estimated 60k in repair just to make it livable.  Ed provided a VERY thorough HUD and home inspection with a VERY detailed report of what area were problematic that would need to be addressed immediately as well as things that I would need to address eventually.  
I cant recommend his service enough,  even my agent was impressed and will be using him as a referral.  

The home inspection went very well. Because of the sellers schedule, I had to reschedule twice. Ed was very accomodating and worked with me to reschedule my appointment. Not only was Ed on time, he was early, very polite and very professional. Ed provided a detailed report one day after the inspection as promised. The report included pictures and enough detail for us to make an informed decision about the property in question. I feel that he is very experienced and I respected the information he provided.

Edward was very thorough with the inspection. He answered all the questions we had as first time home buyers. Sent us a detailed report within a few hours.

In one word...... AWESOME!!!!!  Ed got to the inspection early and had completed the outside inspection our assigned appointment time.  Ed was VERY thorough and walked us through everything!!!!  He explained things that we didn't understand and was very detailed in his report.  I will recommend to everyone I know.

Even though we  confirmed the time of the inspection via email, Ed was late as he hadn't updated his schedule. He was very apologetic and let me know immediately that he was discounting his fee by $50, which was appreciated. The condo has new appliances. I didn't find out, until Ed was on the property, that he doesn't inspect appliances. That was disappointing as it was something I wanted done and I would have much preferred to have known that in advance. He mentioned that once he started a washing machine during an inspection and it leaked which, seems to me, a good argument for testing appliances.
Also, after going out on the balcony, his shoes were wet and left water on the wood floor. I never thought to ask him if he had any towels. Since the unit was empty, I was trying to wipe it up with my hands as he inspected other rooms. When he came back in the living room, I noticed he had a towel. I would have appreciated it if he had thought to wipe up the floor.
Other than that, Ed was very thorough. He found a number things that the Seller is currently correcting including low water pressure in tub faucets, leaking sinks, heat vents requiring better sealing, etc.
Not every job goes perfectly and I would highly recommend Ed, especially if having the appliances inspected is not an issue for you.

This is the 2nd of 2-Buyer's Home Inspections I had EM Property Inspectors
perform. The first inspection performed uncovered serious flaws with the
property that canceled the purchase. This second inspection was performed on a
different house. Again Ed, the inspector, was prompt and professional. He was
able to complete the inspection in under 3 hours. Inspection was thorough. The
final report, 41 pages, had excellent detail, with supporting pictures.
Pictures of good points about the house as well as the deficiencies.

Ed was persistant and thorough. He documented through pictures all items of note and detailed them in his report. He looked at the structure, the house "hardware", systems and kitchen. When complete he verbally walked us all through his entire inspection, discussed everything in detail. Answered our questions and reviewed questions we had about issues we thought there were with the house. I would highly recommend EM Property Inspections, Inc. I will call upon Ed again on my next house hunt.

My wife and I could not have asked for a better experience when it comes to something as nerve wracking as a home inspection.  Ed actually inspected two houses for us.  The first house we placed an offer on had a foundation issue that Ed discovered within the first 20 minutes.  We told him that there was no point in continuing the inspection as we had no intention of purchasing a home with such a major issue.  It was 10 degrees outside, mind you.  After freezing his butt off for us, Ed did not charge us a dime.  Since the inspection was so short, he told us not to worry about it.  Obviously we chose Ed again for the next home inspection.  Just as he was for the first inspection, Ed was the first person at the home.  He took his time thoroughly inspecting each part of the house.  During the entire process, Ed explained to us concerns that he had.  Whether he felt a specific issue needed to be taken care of right away or simply needed to be fixed at a future date, Ed was blunt, honest and explained everything to us in a language that we, as new first time homeowners, could understand.  I cannot recommend Ed highly enough.

Ed was early and the inspection started promptly on time. I had used Ed before for my daughter's first home purchase inspection last month. Ed discovered a couple of deficiencies in my daughter?s prospective house that were substantial enough to terminate the deal, FORTUNATELY!!! This inspection was for my son?s 1st home purchase. As before, Ed was professional and thorough.  It was good weather for February and Ed was able to get atop of the roof, as well as around the yard and garage. Inspection lasted 2 hours and 10 mins. A small one story ranch on a slab, attic, and two car garage.   My daughter has not found another home yet, but we do plan to use Ed's services for that one as well.

we are very happy with his review.
His inspection revealed several short comings with the house and we are nolonger
interested in purchasing it.
We will use Ed again on the next house we place a contract on.

It is the third real estate transaction I am doing. I used to deal with a home inspector that retired. My realtor recommended Ed, and he is truly wonderful.and by far the one of the better home inspectors that I have seen and my realtor has seen, and she is doing these for 30 years.
Very through inspector. Testing for moisture, he found a leak from roof. Was able to put everything in the right context.
Professional, on time, patient and helpful.
I would not hesitate to use him any day again or recommend him to be hired for home inspections. He truly has the buyer's best interest in mind.

I hired EM Property Inspections, Ed, based upon the recommendation of my Realtor who had several positive experiences with him.  On the day of the inspection he was prompt, already up on the roof by the time I arrived.  Ed spent over 4 hours inspecting every nook and cranny in my new house.  He took time to explain every step of the way, from the roof, to the bricks/masonry, to the furnace, to the water heater, to the electrical.... you get the picture.  He made a point of showing me any time he found something that would eventually make it to has extensive 45 page report, complete with detailed pictures of things to make sure that the narrative was clearly understood.  During the inspection Ed answered all of my questions, although he tended to provide explanations before I could ask them.  In summary, Ed was an extremely thorough, professional, and personable throughout the inspection.  While he did not make specific recommendations, he provided sufficient information to make well-informed decisions.  Ed's inspection was invaluable to helping me make the decision to buy the house in which I now happily reside.

Let me start off by saying Ed the owner of EM Property Inspections, Inc. was the most thorough home inspector we have ever used.  He was on time, prepared, experienced and had all of the latest technology to provide a complete home inspection.  We received his detailed report with pictures, explanations, code violations (including HUD) etc within 24 hours.  This was the best money we have ever spent helping us to decide how much extra it would cost us to buy a prospective home. He was competitively priced and most of all, we will use EM Property Inspections in the future. I highly recommend Ed. Great job!

Ed was wonderful to work with, from scheduling the appointment to answering my questions after the inspection was over. He did a very thorough inspection of the property. He pointed out items that I should be aware of and fix down the road and items that required immediate attention. I had some questions after he sent me the report (which he e-mailed the following morning), and he was very receptive and willing to answer all of my questions. 
Hopefully, I won't be moving again soon, but when I do, I will definitely call Ed.
