Certified VIP Landscaping

We began using Certified VIP this summer after our long time service essentially gave up on us after ruining our entire lawn and neglecting the new sod they put down to fix their mess. The new sod was over run with weeds. Within a couple of weeks, Certified VIP brought restored our lawn to pristine condition. They arrive as scheduled and do the job according to our contract. So far we're very pleased since hiring them to maintain our new lawn.

Jamie and his crew were great! I was not sure of what type of patio I wanted. Jamie gave me three different proposals at three different price points. He provided pictures, paver patterns and detailed descriptions for all three proposals. This was very helpful and made it easy for me decide which patio to go with. The end result is a beautiful Holland-stone paver patio. There were some issues with some of the color of the pavers that were installed and Jamie insisted on changing them out. He wanted to make sure I was 100% happy. He is truly a perfectionist and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. Customer satisfaction is very important to him. Jamie, Sophie and his crew could not have been nicer to work with. I highly recommend Certified VIP Landscaping.

There were a few little blitz that I wasn’t happy about but the owner is always willing to come out and discuss them. The workers seem to not know exactly when to trim something because then it doesn’t bloom and I had to tell them about that. They’ll trim it nicely but then it’s in the wrong time or something. They’ve done the job fairly well which is nice but they don’t seem to understand when to do it. It’s not cheap. They could have done differently about the trimming so I’ll get my bushes blooming again at the right time.

Jaime, the manager was great when he came out to do an estimate. He took a lot of time with us to listen to what we wanted and gave some great suggestions to enhance the yard, both front and back. I was also provided a quote to sod the backyard which I felt was fairly priced. The workers we on-time and did a good job. There was a LOT to clear out and cut down. They trimmed the lower branches off my trees, trimmed the front bushes, replanted some hostas from the back yard, and generally made everything look a thousand times better. They unfortunately removed plants from the back that should not have been removed - not sure they could identify some of them as plants vs. weeds.

I originally became familiar with Certified VIP when I happened to drive by one of their trucks and a team of guys was providing landscaping services down the street from our home.  I stopped the supervisor and asked if he could come down the block and do some spring cleaning that afternoon.  Within about 20 minutes, my doorbell rang and it was Jaime who had been called immediately by the supervisor to provide some quick customer service!   We arranged for his team to return another day which was fine.
Maybe a week later they returned and did a good job with all the spring cleaning stuff.  At that time, we asked Jaime about the removal of the yews out front.  We explained that we needed some new bushes/plants there and he was willing to help us with the plant choices and the landscaping design.  This took about two weeks to settle on a plan, but we were not in a hurry because the weather was still iffy.  We arranged for him to return to remove the yews and they were gone before we knew it!  The team did a good job of removal and clean up and left things bare but very neat. 
We needed to wait about a month before the plantings could go in because we discovered once all the yews were gone, that the cement porch on both sides was cracked and broken.  Jaime said his guys could do the work and we said, go for it.  About two weeks went by, again needing to wait for non-rainy weather, and the guys did the work in a few hours. The porch looks great and the work was reasonably priced too.
Finally, last week we got to the actual landscaping once the weather turned warm and sunny.  The areas look very nice and I'm sure once the plants grow up and out a little more, everything will be beautiful.  VIP provided nice cocoa mulch to finish the look.  We had a tiny miscommunication about the way we wanted the edge of one side of the landscaped area to be finished but we communicated what we wanted and Jaime set about making it right within a day of finishing the landscaping.
Overall, we were happy to work with Jaime and his crew.  They went about their business professionally and seem well supervised by Jaime.  Jaime was very pleasant to work with and was very careful to clarify all the work that was done, verifying we were all on the same page with every new plan and contract that was arranged.  I would definitely recommend Certified VIP and look forward to continuing to work with them for our cleaning or landscaping needs.

Jamie Paredes has been very involved in insuring our landscaping and paid maintenance needs are met. Excellent crew working for hours. We left another company because of Jaime's better service and prices.

Their snow team arrived within several hours after the snow storm ended and were very professional and did a wonderful job.  Reasonably priced! Would highly recommend them!!!

When I first received their door hanger this year, they looked and sounded different than all the other providers we've had in the area so we gave them a call. Jaime was very responsive, came out for an estimate and sat with me to explain it. His estimating process was very thorough and he spent a great deal of time walking me through it. He wasn't pushy or demanding. I also appreciate he and his team are able to communicate with me- this is important.
His team was great on their first visit to our house. Very professional and focused on making sure I was satisfied. They went above and beyond by removing a small shed I had so they could put mulch down in that area. They took the time to explain the sod to me and how I should be taking care of it.
I will be having them do more work for sure. Highly recommend.
