They are very nice. We have been using them for, I don?t know maybe 5 years or 6 years, since shortly after they opened. They are really good. They sort the dogs by size. Sometimes it?s funny when you go there, you?ll see one dog that?s off on its own in a separate area, and they?ll say, ?oh, he has a time out, because he wasn?t going to let anybody else to the pool. 

We enjoy it, because when our dog comes home, he is exhausted, and he needs to be worn out sometimes. They charge $18 a day. They have a couple of different plans that you can buy like 10 ride or visits or 20 visits. So, if you buy something like that, it?s cheaper than if you just came in every day. They also have what you call half days and full days. For them a half day is 6 hours and a full day is up to 12. 

Usually, he goes for half days. We bring him in maybe at 10:00 or 11 o-clock in the morning and then pick him up around 4:00. It actually depends. We buy a 20 ride, it comes out to about $18 for a half day. He gets very excited, and he is really thrilled. We open the door and it is like a shot, he runs. 

Great! The dog loves this place. It is very clean. The staff is very caring. I can tell they love they're jobs and dogs! Our dog is always exited to go to Tail Gate. They are great with grooming. The dogs nails are perfectly trimmed. We love this place!

My husband and I have two small dogs
that are essentially our children.
We moved here from Texas - where we took both of our dogs to daycare
everyday. We have a strong sense
of how a good boarding/daycare facility operates and cares for their
four-legged clients.
We visited multiple facilities in the
IL western suburbs and Tailgates was the best. It was clean, spacious, and had a variety of activities to
stimulate the dogs including playground, outdoor area and even a pool. They have an automated system for
tracking dog vaccine updates and boarding reservations. The email reminders are so helpful and
convenient.
More impressive than the facility and
technology was the staff.
Jeff Davis and team truly do live the philosophy that dogs deserve
kindness, love, and gentle treatment.
My own example is one day I mentioned one of our dogs had injured her
paw over the weekend to a team member in he morning. At the end of the day a different team member brought her
out and gave a full report on the paw including it was looking to be
better. This may seem like a small
detail but is a definitive differentiator. This level of concern rare and, in
the year we have been a client of Tail Gate, has never waivered.
Tail Gate cares for your dog like you care for your dog and, for that, I cannot recommend this facility enough.
