I had a crack in the windshield and quot;repairedand quot; by another company a week earlier. Within days, the crack had expanded and affected the driver side view. I called my insurance company and found that the entire cost of replacement would be covered. They suggested Glass America in Shrewsbury. I called for an appointment, and they said they could send a technician out in two days. Later in the day, they called and asked if I minded if they came out a day earlier. I was quite happy to have it repaired earlier than I originally thought.
The technician arrived at my home within the timeframe specified by the dispatcher. He replaced my windshield, and was very patient answering my questions as he did so. He explained what I should do to care for the windshield. He then took my old, damaged windshield away. The truck was left clean and I have had no problems with the glass since it was installed.
The replacement took 1 hour.
The people I talked to on the phone at Amica, Gerber National Glass and Glass America were all helpful and professional.
BMW in Shrewsbury also recommended Glass America for my windshield replacement.
