I really need to write 2 reviews. The work was done over 7 years ago. Up until one year after the work was completed I would have given him an excellent review. Strike 1 came after a year when I first went up to my unfinished, full house attic and discovered what a horrible mess he had left. Debris from the tear off of the 3 previous layers of shingles covered every inch of the attic, including large toys, boxes and furniture from my Mother-in-law stored there. We were not told to expect this. I did not even bother calling him about it since it was a year after he completed the work. Strike 2 came just about 4 to 6 months ago when I called him about an attic leak we spotted after investigating signs of possible water damage in the 2nd floor ceiling. I have tried without success to schedule a time for him to examine the roof and determine the cause of the leak. I believe we spoke directly maybe twice. He said he was waiting for the weather to clear. Since then we have had many days & weeks of good weather, but still no response. In total I believe I have called him at least 5 times. (By the way, it certainly did not take 5 calls to get an appointment for the estimate to do the initial work). He has not returned my most recent calls so I am moving on to another roofer recommended by a friend. So the moral of the story is to check your attic immediately after having a tear off/new roof installed by PRO TOP and hope you never have any leaks after. I would not expect this from a business whose prices are not exactly bargain level. Their estimate promises personal attention and quick service; unfortunately that was not my experience. Finally, if this job is too small or for some other reason he doesn't want to do it he should just say so and save me the time of chasing after him.

The word Pro in PROTOP is an understatement, We had our entire roof replaced. The price was below other estimates. Sometimes by as much as 20%. Not only did they estimate the job in a timely manner. They started the replacement of our roof on time and finished it ahead of schedule. They did an awesome Job using quality materials. We were so pleased we decided to have them replace all our Gutters. One of the best things about this company on top of their great work is, when they completed the job, you would never have known they were there. Rich B

Outstanding repair and installation work. I trust Pro Top with all the work. The flashing system they installed look better than any other installation in our townhome complex.

Owner Scott was professional. He explained my options. His work crew did a great job. Owner Scott also made sure I was happy with the work his crew did. I would definitely recommend Pro Top Roofing.

I was not able to be there while work was done. Contract signed on 11/24/2014, work began approx. 2 weeks later. it took 3 days for the work to be completed. The contract stated that all deteriorated decking would be rewplaced and states that4 sheets of CDX was included in the price.The roof above my front porch was in violation of building code due to  a dip in the roof in some spots. Those dips were not repaired. Now I have a new bought and paid for roof that looks like it is 40 years old., I was told that less than 1 sheet of plywood was used on my job. The irregularity in the roof, I feel should have been repaired. Also,after all the snow we had this winter melted, I spoke to Scott about the dripline shingles not being supported from underneath and looking like a "40 year old roof."
As the trim was being covered I had a dispute with the workers about them trying to cover rotted wood with alluminum. The contract addressed this topic, and any deteriorated fascia boards were to be replaced for a fee. I actually had to call the Village Building Inspector to insruct them to replace that rotted wood.
Whenever I spoke to Scott about a problem his attitude was condescending, as tho I had no idea what I was speaking about.He eventually came out, looked at the drip-edge, and agreed it needed some support underneath and I showed him an area where the trim was not completed. someone came out when I was not home and made a poor attempt at correcting both situations.
All-in-all the experience I have had with this company was a nightmare. I would no recommend this company.

Protop did a wonderful job. There were two layers of roofing that needed to be removed before the replacement roof was installed. They also did a great job of protecting our landscaping and took particular care in cleaning all debris from our property including running a magnetic rake through our lawn to remove any loose nails. Our roof looks fantastic. I would definitely use them again.

   Scott is respectful, prompt, responsive, efficient, cost effective and else wise  easy to work with. I am very satisfied with my new roof and brick work. Results are great as was clean up. I am very particular about my building and would recommend to any one needing roofing to do business with Pro Top.

The roof went so well that we hired them to replace all of the gutters, soffits, fascia and frieze board around our house and from there we had them replace all of the gable siding.
They not only did an excellent installation job they cleaned up each day to the point you would not know they had been there.  The roof took two days and the gutters and siding took six and the property was left in pristine condition.
The owner and his lead sales person were very attentive to our needs and desires and one or the other (sometimes both)popped in each day to monitor the progress.
My husband and I would recommend them very highly.
