Purchased a new house and the furnace wouldn't turn on. Called Terry at New Vista. He easily figured out the thermostat was broken. Based on our inspection, it also had some design issues with the flu and gas line. They provide a great quote to fix everything and install a new thermostat. His technician Johnathan did a great job. They were clean and professional. I will use them for all my Heating & AC work.

A loud noise, sort of like an air horn sound would resound from the furnace when it first would come one.  Serviceman came out, didn't introduce himself nor had shoe covers.  Had him take off his shoes.  When he kicked on the furnace to hear the noise, he didn't seem to have much confidence that he ever heard such a sound before and knew what to do.  After tinkering around, he said it was the blower motor.  Although I didn't not agree with this and to my reluctance, I had him change the blower motor.  After he installed it the noise still continued.  Further troubleshooting led to the solenoid on the humidifier.  After I complained about furnace companies (see reviews for All Temp and Blue Frost) I really wasn't sure what to do.  Putting a new motor on an already old furnace isn't the best scenario even though he still claimed it ran much quieter.  He proceeded to turn off the humidifier and leave.  I now have a furnace with no humidifier.

"I'm sorry you are disappointed with our service; however, this is the first I'm hearing about your dissatisfaction with our service. I wish you had called me at the time of the service call or the next day. My service technicians and I discuss all the calls they go on either at the end of the day or first thing the next day and every technician has a box of shoe coverings with them so there is no reason for them to take their shoes off. I do remember my service tech telling me about the two noises you had and that the first thing you told him when he arrived was that you did not want a new furnace. After he installed the blower motor [taking care of the first noise] there was a second noise from the humidifier and he offered to replace the solenoid to silence that sound. But you told him not to replace it. He even offered to put the old motor back into your furnace and replace the solenoid for the humidifier so you could hear each noise which you also told him not to do. We would be happy to come out and repair your humidifier at a discounted price for you because customer satisfaction is very important to us. If there is any way we can help please give me a call."

When my old furnace went out I called Terry and he walked me through all the steps and my different options. Having done work in my house before he knew what the best furnace for my house would be and explained it all in a way I could understand. The day of he came in the morning to get the job started and the rest of his guys finished up and did a superb job. Would highly recommend them.
