Just had Wally over again to repair drywall and repaint three rooms downstairs after some water damage. We’ve used him multiple times over the past 10 years and the work is always impeccable! Wally and his worker repaired cracks and painted the ceilings in 5 rooms of our house. They also had to replace a small area of drywall on the dining room ceiling. We are very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend this company.

Wally and his partner did an amazing job! They were always on-time, cleaned up after they were done and completed the job in a timely manner. They repaired some drywall in the ceiling and painted most of the interior of our home. Wally is very detailed and it shows in his work. Wally and Richard do remarkable work, and he is an extremely nice guy also. His work is meticulous and his work ethic strong. As he works to his own standards, your own expectations will be far exceeded. For example, I saw a wall that needed paint, Wally saw 20 nail pops that needed to be fixed before painting. A wall will never look better after he is finished. Wally is not the cheapest painter you will find, but his prices are fair and (based on the excellent quality of the work) are a very good value.

I have used Wally and his team three times over the past seven years. Impress Painting has painted 10 rooms in my home, as well as our front entry porte-cohere. They did a beautiful job prepping each room of our 1937 home before painting: fixing cracked plaster, repairing nail holes and drywall flaws, smoothing out and caulking chair rails, etc. Some of our windowsills were weathered and had several chipped coats of paint on them, and now they look great. About 5 years ago I had some woodwork done on my exterior porte-cochere by a well-known exterior company. That company did a poor job and the paint wasn’t holding up after a couple of years, exposing the wood to rot. Not only did Wally do an amazing job to refinish and preserve it, but he understands freeze issues and refastened the wood in a way that it doesn't separate in winter. It looks flawless three years later. Wally and Richard are punctual and do a nice job of cleaning up at the end of each day. Wally is a good communicator, and worked around my needs (example: my kids are home on Mondays so he planned for access to part of the house). They’re extremely detail-oriented and professional. I won’t hesitate to use them again! The cost of service listed is for painting one bedroom, kitchen, hallway, stairwell, upstairs room, bathroom, and ceilings, crown moulding and trim.

I recently restored the vintage staircase in our 1913 Chicago bungalow. I hired one company to strip everything and re-stain parts of it. Then, I had to find the perfect painter to paint the stringers, risers, and 72 balusters. It was a really big job and I needed a perfectionist because we only had one shot to get it done right. Impress Painting did a meticulous job – I could not be happier with their work. Wally and his colleague Richard did very careful prep work, detailed sanding, and a beautiful paint job. The finish is flawless. Wally asked thoughtful questions along the way to make sure the final result was exactly what I had in mind. I highly recommend Impress Painting – I will definitely hire them again!

It went excellently! Wally the owner with Richard worked every day together and always kept us informed as they found additional places needing their attention or for our info. This was painting before we moved in so their insights into the floors behavior was most welcome! Also they did some accent painting on the family room ceiling and it looks great! They even accommodated the emergency crawl space work so our move in could go well too. We would call them again unhesitatingly and recommend them with no reservation.

Wally was truly fantastic. He came prepared, did a fantastic job, had a fair price and was very clean and thorough with clean-up. He had put down coverings everywhere - furniture, carpets, wood mouldings, and everything else to prevent any damage. We were very impressed by his professional, calm, honest, and friendly demeanor. He did what he said what he was going to do. He was, as he said motivated- and I appreciated his work ethics. He knew we wanted to have this job done soon, and he accomodated us. I have only superlatives to say about him. In my opinion you cant do better. I will recommend him highly to everyone. He gets the highest A possible from me.

This is the second time I've used Wally and I guarantee it won't be the last. He and his assistant had their work cut out for them. Literally. We had foam insulation blown into our outside walls in 3 bedrooms upstairs, so there were big chunks of drywall removed and replaced. Wally and Richard taped, mudded, and sanded everything back to perfection. And then their painting was the cherry on top. I don't know how they covered up the colors that were in the rooms previously, but I can't see a trace of it now. And such attention to detail! The walls are all smooth and beautiful now! And they were consistently polite, punctual, and professional. Do not hesitate to hire Wally! This is what quality looks like.

Wally and his crew did excellent work. They are perfectionists. Everything came out beautifully, down to the very smallest detail. The work area was always carefully blocked off and everything was broom clean every night, and when the job was completed he did a complete walk through with us and everything was put back together beautifully. The house looked like new inside. We needed wallpaper removed in a couple of rooms, and replastering and painting most of the house: walls, ceilings, hallways, and staircases. They repaired rotted wood on one window frame and the front door jamb, repaired the worn wood on the stairs to the basement, and fixed two light switches. The also fixed a very loose bannister on the staircase to the basement by replacing that one wall with drywall where the plaster was very badly worn. There was nothing they could not do.

Wally did a great job with this project. He was professional, timely, and thorough with the project. He was very detail oriented; patching the walls where previous damage from wallpaper was left. He scheduled the job quickly, and arrived on time and stayed until completion. They also left the area very clean afterwards. The stairwell and hallway painting look great now - we would certainly recommend him for any painting projects.

I was very impressed with the professional way the project proceeded. Wally was there everyday and directed the work wonderfully. They repaired and repainted window frames, prepped the walls for wallpaper, wallpapered and painted. The work was excellent. I was very pleased with he manner in which the house was left when they finished. I will used them in the future and highly recommend them.

Wally did an excellent job of removing our dated wallpaper in our dining room and painting. Since we were preparing for an open house we needed this done in a short time frame so we appreciated his quick response. His work was very professional. I would highly recommend this company for anyone needing this type of work.

To begin, this is probably at least the 5 time or so that we have used Wally's company for painting inside and out since we bought the house in 2009. Wally is one of the best service providers we have worked with and is detailed, meticulous and very respectful of your home while he is here working. His and his partner's work is excellent. Wally has done multiple jobs for us at our residence. He is capable of doing a variety of work. We have plaster walls and it's hard to find someone who works in that. He and his team are always on time and clean up nicely once the project is finished. They're very hard workers and nice guys.

The job went smoothly and I was extremely pleased with the result. I would recommend without any reservations. They are two very nice gentlemen.

Wally and his team replaced drywall, repaired corners, secured the ceiling with screws as only nails had been used and it was falling. Also repaired bowed drywall and made everything look new and fresh! I especially like that Wally uses the best quality paint. The walls look beautiful and will clean nicely when needed. They did excellent work and always showed up when they said they would and completed a big job in a reasonable amount of time. I never worried about being out of the house when they were there. I would hire Impress Painting again and highly recommend them.
