Bottom feeders is the easiest way to describe this place and their tactics! Don’t expect to pay their web advertised prices. It is false advertising. Oh sorry, our ad only says install and delivery included…we charge separately to cut and fabricate on top of our online prices. My 2 examples of their FALSE ADVERTISING: 1) Marble advertised on web site for $55/sqft x 21 sqft project = $1,155. Sorry, you have to order 30 sq ft minimum to get that price. Ok…….. 30 x $55 = $1,650. By the time they are done screwing me around I was quoted at $1,960.00 $805 over web advertised price. ~70% increase over web advertised price that does not mention minimum sqft or fabrication additional! 2) Quartz advertised on web site for $65/sqft x 21 sqft project = $1,365. Sorry, you have to order 30 sq ft minimum to get that price. Ok…….. 30 x $65 = $1,950. By the time they are done screwing me I was quoted at $ 2,137.20 $772.20 over web advertised price. ~56% increase over web advertised price that does not mention minimum sqft or fabrication additional!

When the installers finished the installation of our kitchen counter tops they poured a lot of sealant onto the counter tops and moved it around with a rag. We asked them if they were going to rub the sealant in further because it looked streaky and like it was just shlopped on carelessly. They told us that it would "all absorb in". Well, let me tell you that after 24 hours of letting the sealant dry, we were left with a cloudy hazy finish with smudge spots that made our brand new counter look dirty all the time. We researched on line about how the sealant should have properly been laid down and everywhere the information said that polishing the sealant in thoroughly was critical in order to obtain a shiny clear finish. When we spoke to Paul who is the owner, (who was constantly difficult to reach) and he argued that everything looked good to him and he has not since, done anything to improve the finish on our counters. Based on this poor service I would not recommend this company.

EXTREMELY disappointed!!! One of the counter top edges was not beveled. Was told there would be a five day wait to have done in shop after old counters were already removed. Netting left on under overhang. Had to replace gas flex line to cooktop because it was twisted by installer. Who advised was not a problem and could be reused. Which is both incorrect and dangerous. Extra silicone was not removed and was left on walls and counters. Cook top was not reattached, told not necessary, worker threw out screws. We had to get new ones to secure the unit. Window sill behind sink was pushed up by new back splash, now not level. Most of the backsplashes have gaps between wall and backsplash, up to 1/4" gap in one area. On one of the ends of the backsplash it is short by 1/4" showing drywall area that isn't wallpapered like the rest of kitchen. Called numerous times finally got a non-friendly person who told me to email pictures. Sent details and pictures with no response. Sent follow up emails . Took 5 weeks to finally get an email response about complaints when I emailed that I was going to rate the install. We chose not to have them come back due to our lack of trust in both workmanship and honesty.

After shopping about a dozen different granite companies, Granite Selections had the stone we wanted in stock, the price was great, and the time-line was only two weeks from our first visit to installation. The installers did a great job - taking time to make sure everything was level and exact. Then they did a great job cleaning up after themselves before they sealed the granite. Very pleased with the whole job.

Some Pros and Some Cons.... Let me prefix by saying that this is the first time ever having granite installed. I did the kitchen reno myself and it took 7 years because of the market crash in 2008 so money became tight. I was really looking forward to my granite counter tops. Pros: They accommodated a few special requests that others would not such as a single slab WITHOUT A SEAM in the main sink base counter top. They also did the back splash pieces at 2-3/4" high. They were very organized up front and quick from deposit to installation (less than 2 weeks). Their pricing was good as well. They did do a special 1/8" cut onsite to accommodate a small change. Cons: The installation was what I would call a kamikaze installation. It was very obvious that I was just one of several installations that had to take place on that day. Everything was done very quickly and in an uncaring fashion. One of the pieces arrived with a big chip out of it and the installer said "that was normal from the CNC machine" and he will fix it and it will be perfect. They did fill it in nicely but unfortunately, I know it is there and can see it (if I look). The application of the silicone was done very quickly so there is a lot of blobs that squished out (I can clean them up). I needed 2 wire management holes drilled and I had the caps for them. They didn't have the right sized drill bit so they improvised and had to fill in some chips on one of them (not a big deal). I picked out and reserved my granite slab at the warehouse across the street from them and when I went in to place my order with Granite Selection, they said "their" quote was based upon using "their" granite and wanted me to look at their granite slabs in their own warehouse 2 streets away, which I did. The slab I looked at had 2 small unusual white areas (my granite is Black Pearl) so I asked if they could do all of the cuts avoiding those 2 splotches and he said yes. Well those 2 splotches ended up right in my counter tops so they didn't do what they said they would. I should have stayed with the granite slab I selected at the first warehouse. It would have cost about $200 more but would have been worth it! Now.....the thing that bugs me the most!..... When he applied the sealer, he never cleaned the granite surfaces first. They were very dusty and dirty. He used the sealer to "clean and apply" it and said to let it dry and not to use the surfaces for 24 hrs. After 24 hrs, I tried to wipe them down to remove any residue. There are so many streaks everywhere. So I bought granite cleaner and granite polish. Still streaks everywhere. Now everything I am reading online says that sealer should not just be left on to dry. And I think since he did not clean first, the sealer just pulled the dust and dirt down into the granite and its ruined or I will have to have it stripped and re-sealed. Now I'm wondering if "their" granite slabs were defective or of lessor quality? I would not use them again. I would spend a little more money and use a higher end company. And now I think next time, I will go with Quartz tops instead!

This company is a low-budget shop.  Only samples of quartz material in their main office, which is very Spartan.  They have a small warehouse over on the next street for granite and MS International, the largest importer of stone products, is across the street from their office.  If you can find a granite that you like in their warehouse (which we did) it is less expensive than from MSI, as they import it themselves without going through a middle-man.  There are not as many choices in their own warehouse.  They were the least expensive, even though they do not offer any special deals on Angie's List.  They first gave me a hand-written proposal on a plain sheet of paper (therefore a "B" on the Professionalism score) and then provided an "official" proposal after the measuring was completed.  The measurer was very complete with a very sophisticated piece of equipment that measured and made a layout.  Deposit is 50% of the total cost - CHECKS only, unless you want to pay a 3% upcharge for the use of a credit card.  Time between deposit and installation was only 2 weeks versus 6-8 weeks for other shops.  We went to the shop 1 week ahead of time to look at the granite slabs and work with the production manager to get the layout of the granite pattern the way we wanted.  Most granite has a "grain" and we wanted it all going the same way.  The installers showed-up on time and finished within 3 1/2 hours and the seams were very good - almost invisible and the grain was matched very well at the seams.  I performed the "demolition" of the existing countertops so cannot speak for that aspect of their work.  I purchased an installed sink from them but re-installed the faucet, plumbing drains and cooktop myself - you have to wait 24 hours before completing due to the time for the epoxy, silicone caulk and sealer to cure.  Had a little clean-up of dust and grit, as they performed the faucet hole drilling and cooktop cut-out in the kitchen.  They performed a clean-up, but not quite to my idea of cleanliness.

All said, this is a very good shop for a great price.  Sometimes a little difficult to understand them, as they are all Polish and have a strong accent.

Overall, I had a good experience with this company and would use them again. Everyone was very professional and responsive. They cost quite a bit less than other suppliers I have seen. First, someone came to measure: he was on time, worked quickly and I had a written quote by email within a few hours. I decided to go to the office to pick out samples. This was very impressive: you go to their office and then they send you across the street to the massive MSI warehouse, which is full of every kind of stone you can imagine. We picked out the exact slab we wanted, brought back the reservation form, made a deposit and set up a date for install. The installers came as scheduled and did a very nice looking job. The cut was exact, the seams are perfect and the whole thing is level. The only problem i had (and why they didn't get a perfect and quot;Aand quot;), was with the countertop edge. After the installers left, I noticed that the side was not smooth across the whole finished edge. It had been polished, but there were grooves, like a tool had been used with a chip in it. I emailed the office and, after a few back and forth emails, they agreed to come out and fix it. It took the poor guy 2 trips (over a couple week span) and probably a total of around 5 hours to polish the edge smooth. To their credit, this company stood behind their work and fixed the problem, which I greatly appreciated.

We had a couple of scheduling issues because of the company moving to a new premises. Communication is a huge problem, install dates were pushed out a couple times. The guys who came out to measure and install are very very professional.

The installation went great. The installers did an incredible job and we're very friendly. The office staff was super nice and a pleasure to work with. The owner was very personable and came out to do the measure. We really liked that fact. The quality of the granite was amazing and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. They also have an extensive remnant selection that saved us a lot of money.

They were fine and easy to work with. There was a little bit of error on how the granite was cut under our sink. But we ended up fixing it instead of having them to do it. But they were okay and we may use them again in the future if we needed to.

The experience we had with them was good. The price was good. They missed there first appointment because of a chip that was in the granite. I feel like I got what I paid for.

Emailed via website for quote. Provided estimate over phone and set up site visit. Milan came out, very nice, and measured. Explained company would be back with final estimate. Two days later, three phone calls and two emails with no reply from manager or owner. Finally reached manager after hours on her cell and was told they were too busy to respond. Hardly in line with their website mission statement, philosophy and Going Forward statements. Would simply have appreciated a reply with timetable.

In less than two weeks, I: spoke with; visited showroom/factory and selected granite; had a measurement appointment; and installed bathroom countertop. Very simple. It's an informal approach, and they screwed up on the in-home measurement appointment (the original guy didn't show but the owner came out later that day and did it himself). Otherwise, very smooth. Very easy process. I would work with them again on my kitchen. The price is right!

UPDATE: 12/126/12. I was so happy with my first experience, I ordered new granite from Pay Less For Granite/Kitchen Transformations earlier this month. This time for my kitchen. And it included the stainless steel kitchen sink. The service was just as quick. The product quality is fantastic and the techs were very prompt. And this was during the busy holiday season! If I had another need for granite, I would use them again. But, this is it for me. Thank you to everyone at Kitchen Transformations for my beautiful granite countertops.

.They came and installed the granite and drilled holes in the top of my new dishwasher. We called the owner to replace the dishwasher and he would not. We called the owner twelve times and everytime we talk to him he tells us the check is in the mail. He then told us to come pick up the check, which is an hour away.

We could not be more happy with the service provided by PayLessForGranite. Paul came out for an estimate right away and took measurements at that time. Then the next week they were able to install them. Our house was built in 1907, so the kitchen measurements are a little tricky. The installation was was quick and convenient. And at the Paul called to follow up and see if we were happy with the final product.

PayLessForGranite was a pleasure to work with, but the most important factor for us was price. We wanted a little more high-end granite (Khasmire White) and PayLessForGranite prices were half the price of their competitors because we took advantage of one of their specials. We will definately work with PayLessForGranite in the future.

We just had our new kitchen cabinets and granite countertops installed yesterday for a total price about a half of other estimates. We are thrilled and we were worried because the price was so good. The shopping experiece can be chaotic especially on saturday mornings. The sales clerks we found to be helpful but they are always busy and will rush you along if you don't push for clarification. When I called to confirm our installation a day before our appointment Paul immediately remembered our order. Because of the shopping experience we were worried about the installation being rushed or sloppy and it was anything but. Our lead installer was Leshek and his assistant Martin. While Leshek's english was limited he was meticulous about the installation and made sure everything was perfect. Martin spent hours ensuring our undermount sink was perfectly positioned and it is! He also expertly worked to make sure the one seam we have is virtually invisible. They must have 50 types of granite, 20 types of kitchen cabinets and also sell sinks. I saved thousands over what I would have paid for cabinetry and any number of shops/big box stores.
