Elk Grove Village Frigidaire Repair

Repair man replaced a burner and valve. Then he discovered the vent was blocked on the outside. Someone had placed a screen over the opening after the louvers. It was clogged. He removed the screen completely. The oder went away. We still had an odor off and on after that and could not figure it out. The tech "Will" came out and checked out the dryer again. He discovered that there was some "matter" burned and coating the back of the dryer drum that you put the clothes in to dry. After getting to a certain heat, that burned on substance would begin to have a "burned" odor as a result of high continuing heat set to dry a current drum full of clothes. We were not happy that the "office manager" told us that they would charge an additional $65 to have "Will" take steel wool and clean the burned substance off that drum. The repair job was still under a 90-day guarantee after "Will's" first visit. We had to do the steel wool cleaning ourselves to avoid an additional charge. I am being "generous" in my review regarding this company and their services due to the fact that their tech "Will" was very helpful and did a good job!!!!!

Root cause of the problem was a failed waste water pump but the technician also took the time to replace a kinked and failing hose and rerouted the drainage to avoid the issue in the future.
The only issue I had was in getting the warranty repair approved due to having a receipt reprint instead of the original. Initial rep would not accept it but the problem was speedily resolved one the CSR manager became involved
