Repair man replaced a burner and valve. Then he discovered the vent was blocked on the outside. Someone had placed a screen over the opening after the louvers. It was clogged. He removed the screen completely. The oder went away. We still had an odor off and on after that and could not figure it out. The tech "Will" came out and checked out the dryer again. He discovered that there was some "matte...

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Dryer had a gas odor after running a load of clothes. Had the company tech come out 2 times to track it down. We had trouble getting scheduled in an efficient manner. There was a mix-up on date/time twice and one "call back" rep never did show up. I am giving them a satisfying rating because their "tech" specialist name "Will" was very helpful, friendly, and well trained, and worked hard to please us when he finally did come both times we called. Will cleaned the outdoor vent which was loaded with lint and blocking the flow of air to the outdoors, kicking back a gas odor into the dryer.

Root cause of the problem was a failed waste water pump but the technician also took the time to replace a kinked and failing hose and rerouted the drainage to avoid the issue in the future.
