Chicago Flooring Source

I told my story above and really  hope that I conveyed the message that Chicago Flooring Source is a good group to have work in your behalf.  Can't go wrong with hiring them.

They did a nice job. I don't remember how much they charged me, but their price was reasonable. They were dependable. They were reasonably priced. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous and they were on time. I would use them again in the future.

While they were working everything seemed to be okay. Later on, we weren't happy with the results, but our warranty period had expired by that time and we didn't follow up.

I went to the store and talked with Paul, the salesman. He gave a good explanation of the pros and cons of various types of flooring, and I felt confident about taking his advice. He let me bring home about 20 different samples over a period of several weeks until I made up my mind what I wanted. Then Dave, the owner, came out to measure and explained how the floor would be installed. He drew a very detailed diagram for the installer, complete with instructions. A day or two later, Paul called with a quote, and I went in and paid half of the price, with the assurance that I would not have to pay the remainder until I was totally satisfied with the work. The work was done a month later, as soon as they had time in their schedule. They pre-stained the replacement toe kick to perfectly match my cabinets. The installer was very meticulous, custom cutting each piece as it was needed. Installation was done sooner than expected, even though the assistant was ill and missed a day. They cleaned up after themselves and left the place almost spotless. They left all their equipment in my garage during the 2 1/4 days of the project, and also left their trailer in my driveway (with my permission, so they didn't have to hook it up to take it away every night). The installer gave me care instructions for the flooring and left the remaining product, just in case repairs are needed someday. I was very pleased with the experience and definitely plan to hire them again when I'm ready to replace the carpeting and the flooring in the master bath.

The Chicago Flooring staff were extremely friendly. They were prompt, punctual, and professional. They were really good at working with my schedule. For me, it was very important that they did the job at the specified times, as not to conflict or impose on my time or schedule.

It was fast and professional. Looks very nice.

THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY WAS VERY GOOD TO DEAL WITH AND MORE THAN ACCOMMODATED OUR SCHEDULE. THIS PART OF THE EXPERIENCE WAS OUTSTANDING. THE PROBLEMS: THE WORKERS SAWED WOOD INSIDE WITHOUT ANY WARNING TO US, CAUSING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF DUST TO BE SPREAD AROUND OUR HOUSE. WHEN WE COMPLAINED, THEY DID COME BACK AND VACUUM. ONE STEP WAS NOT PUT IN CORRECTLY. THEY DID RETURN TO DO IT RIGHT. WE DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE COLOR OF THE STAIN--IT WAS MUCH DARKER THAN WHAT WE PICKED OUT, EITHER BECAUSE THEY USED THE WRONG STAIN OR BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SHOW US WHAT THE STAINS WOULD LOOK LIKE WITH 2 COATS DRIED. WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BUT WOULD PROBABLY USE THE COMPANY AGAIN WITH MUCH MORE OVERSIGHT.

WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH ALL QUESTIONS ASKED. THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE FLOOR.

THEY DID A REAL NICE JOB. I HAD A HALLWAY, BATHROOM AND LAUNDRY ROOM FLOOR REPLACED. THIS INCLUDED CUTTING 8 DOOR ENTRANCES. ALL WERE DONE VERY NICE. ADDITIONALLY, THE SALES TEAM WORKED WITH ME TO INSTALL LOWER GRADE FLOOR IN LAUNDRY ROOM TO STAY WITHIN MY BUDGET WITHOUT IMPACTING OVERALL LOOK. THEY DID LEAVE SOME SCRAPS IN THE GARAGE THAT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED TO BE HAULED AWAY.
