No. 2 Contracting

After 2 days of work Dan and his crew had done everything except finishing the bathroom trim and trimming out the newly installed door.  Unfortunately my mom paid Dan the full amount, thinking he would return to finish the job  Dan said he would return to finish the bathroom and the door 2 days later.  Not only did he not show up 2 days later, but he didn't even call.  When I called him he assured me he would be there in a couple of days, yet on the day he was suppose to be here he didn't show up again.  After calling him again, he assured me he would be here in another couple of days, yet the day he was scheduled to be here he called and said his truck wouldn't start  Yet again he rescheduled and the day he was suppose to show up he called and cancelled.  After calling him yet again he agreed to come another day.  When that day came he didn't show up and didn't even bother to call.  In total he blew my mom off 7 times and when i called to reschedule again the phone went to voicemail, and after leaving a message he never called me back.  So now its been over a month and still no word from Dan  To make matters worse the floor in the bathroom heaved up like an 1/8 of an inch, and their is a spot in the hallway that also sticks up and the only way to fix it is to take up the floor in the bathroom all the way to the hallway.  Dan agreed to fix these spots which we said we would pay for but the problem is he won't take my or my mother's phone calls.  So now my mom is in danger of ruining her brand new vinyl floor and her sub floor because when it rains water gets in behind her vinyl siding(My mom lives in a trailer).  My mom thought she could trust Dan mainly because my friend down the street worked for him, but after talking to my friend he told me that Dan laid him off along with stiffing him out of $400 in wages. I am writing this review so that hopefully one else will be ripped off by this con artist.
Don't hire this scammer, he is not reputable.
