We had a huge project going, so they were there off and on for 6 months. For the plumbing and across the entire project I would say it was around $15,000 to $20,000.

The first time they came out the replaced the shower head because it was a "rain" shower head which they said collected water and therefore leaked after use. After noticing the leak still persisting a couple of days after they "fixed" it, we called to complain. They said they would refund the time spent and send someone back out to fix. They show up a second time and said the leak is due to "overturning" the facet to the off position. They are now refusing to refund us the money for the first "fix" which they agree was totally unnecessary. These guys are scam artists that will charge you to "fix" things that aren't broken. On top of that What lousy customer service. Believe me, we will not be using this company in the future and I would recommend you don't use them either.

We hired Fox Valley Plumbing to do a backflow test. We were quoted $120 ($100 for the visit and $20 for the reporting). When they came out, they said there was a missing part, and they could not do the test, it would need to be repaired first. We were led to believe it was a fairly significant repair, and we were quoted $400, plus parts. In addition, he charged us for the initial visit of $100, and he was there about 30 minutes. When he returned, the entire process took about 20 minutes. 10 minutes were to repair/install the missing part, and 10 minutes to then complete the test. I asked him about the cost and all he could say was that is what we agreed to and it was not up to him. The bill was $400 plus $27.03 for parts. We regretfully wrote the check, but we followed up with a phone call to the owner. We explained the situation to the owner (Matt) and asked him for a partial refund since they had spent less than an hour total on our issue, yet charged us over $500, which is very well above any normal plumber rate. Again, he could not in any way justify the cost, other than to say we agreed to the contract and therefore had no recourse. While I do not dispute we did in fact agree to the price, we were deliberately misled as to the nature of the repair. Had we been told, we have a small repair , it should only take a few minutes when we come back, but its going to cost you $400, we would have looked elsewhere. Instead, we were led to believe this was a major repair that would take a couple of hours. Based on that false information, we agreed to move forward. If the estimate was based on intentionally misleading information, it is no longer a valid estimate/contract. I proposed to the company to refund us $227, which would mean they would still earn $300 for about 1 hours worth of work, and they did not even consider it. I would stay away from them because this company is clearly unethical in its business practices and how it misleads customers.
Response from Fox Valley Plumbing & Back Flow Inc.

"Hello This customer called us three weeks ago for pricing on a Backflow test. We quoted her $125.00 for the test and the file fee. She called us back after price checking and decided Fox Valley was the cheapest price for the service she requested. The customer Backflow test failed the inspection and we charged her $100.00 for the visit. Fox valley provided a detailed estimate to repair and retest her device. The customer agreed to this estimate in writing 7 days prior to the service day. We arrived with the parts and provided the services exactly stated in the estimate. We billed the customer the exact amount from the estimate they agreed to. The customer reached out to me the day of the service for a explaination of the labor. I informed the customer that the technician had to leave the project they were on to purchase the parts needed for the repair then travel to them to install the parts and test there device. Overall this took Fox Valley Plumbing 2 hours prior to arrival at the customers house. Per conversation with the customer they understood this process. Therefore the labor price quoted was justified in the signed contract. They services were provided exactly to the written agreement. We charged them the exact amount they agreed to pay prior to the service day. Fox valley plumbing provided a quality service to this customer with no hidden fees. The amount the customer was charged was accepted by the customer in writing. Fox Valley Plumbing successfully tests and files over 5,000 Backflow devices in the state of Illinois each year, twenty percent of these devices fail and need repair. We have successfully repaired these devices with no complaints till now. This case was was deemed rectified with the Better Business Bureau and was closed with no further action necessary from Fox Valley Plumbing. Moving forward we at Fox Valley Plumbing will continue to provide quality service with no hidden fees. Providing detailed estimates and billing customers the exact amount in the estimate just like we did for this homeowner."

Two of the three bathrooms do not work. Raw sewage backs up through the floor drains like clockwork every three to four weeks. Through the entire plumbing nightmare, Fox Valley and owner Matthew Moraco accepted zero responsibility for their shoddy work. They blamed us for the problems, going so far as to stage the toilet bowl with unused tampons as "evidence" that we were clogging our own toilets. They have even had the temerity to charge us for subsequent trips out to rod out the clogged sewer line even though they never worked properly once the project was completed. Meanwhile, the toilet manufacturer has explained to me why their installation was faulty and never had a chance of working(spoiler alert...gravity). Plenty of blame to go around beginning with the architect who recommended wall-hung toilets as a way to save money by not tearing up the concrete floor, GC who went along with this disastrous plan only to disappear at the sad conclusion, plumbing inspector who approved the project, etc, etc. We should be in court. Instead we will be having the brand new bathrooms completely torn out and re-done at great expense and disruption to our business. If there was an option below "F" which is too much like flush, then I would choose it.
Maybe "Z" for zero. As in, zero understanding of basic plumbing, zero concern for the mess you created, and zero responsibility for your unconscionable lack of professionalism and basic human decency.

"[Member name removed] contacted my office about a free estimate for a foreclosed home he purchased. I scheduled the appointment for the same day. I arrived on time and took my time explaining all of his options. [Member name removed] needed the entire 3 bath house re-plumbed with new copper water pipe, a new sump pump re-worked and installed, camera sewer and rod out the drains in basement. His total on the estimate was $9,850.00 a fair number for the amount of work and material need to complete this project in a professional manor."

It went awful, it was a horrendous experience.

"This customer called my company looking for a boiler. We never told him we would do this job for him and never agreed to to travel to Lynwood. This customer decided to purchase the angles list deal for a water heater with out asking us first. I talked with him and he insisted that I would have to install this product at the purchase price from angles list. I told him he lives 75 miles away from my business and the round trip would be150 miles to install a water heater for $900.00 would not be possible. I told hime i would charge an additional $300.00 for travel. He was refunded his money in full and we never performed a service for him."

I was very selective in picking a plumber to help me deal with some basement water issues I was having about a year ago in a home I had just moved into. Matt spent a lot of time with me on the phone discussing how I could mitigate some of the issues I was having. He was extremely kind, patient, and very thorough. The first step in the process for my peace of mind was installing a top of the line sump pump system with a battery back-up. Not to mention, this system was also 100x quieter than the previous system I had (even with a quite check valve). This was very important to me considering the sump pump pit is located right below the master bedroom... not the best design by the previous homeowners. All in all, this sump pump system that was installed has performed well up to my expectations after one year, and I do not have to worry about my sump pump failing and causing water problems in the basement. I would not hesitate to use Fox Valley Plumbing for any of my plumbing needs in the future. This your go to company for any of your plumbing needs!

The removal and installation went very well, once he arrived - and really did a great job except for the water trail he left through the basement, up the stairs and through the kitchen when removing the old water heater.  Our basement is not finished, so he could have dumped the rest of the water near the drain pipe and if he needed help with that, he could have asked.

Since we had sprung a leak I was extremely happy they were able to come out the same day (in fact within a couple of hours) so I did not have to shut off the water. They were extremely responsive and quickly had the new valve in.  They were very professional.  We would definitely contact them for future plumbing needs.

I first called Fox Valley  because of a "Deals" offer on Angie's List.   I had never used a referral from Angie's List before,.  Melissa (who handled my call) helped me arrange the details.  She asked for info on my inoperable heater (model, serial number, make) and promptly connected me with Matt (the owner and installer).  He contacted me via phone.

Aware that I had no working heater and was concerned about securing a prompt replacement, he was able to schedule installation later that same day.

After removing the old tank, he began installation.  He worked diligently and with purpose.  After installation he reviewed with me how to light the pilot and select settings of water temperature.

We discussed some additional work I would like to have completed.  I intend on having a new faucet installed and possibly other work.  I highly recommend Fox Valley as a water heater installer and other for other plumbing needs.

Quick, accurate, friendly.
He figured out quickly that a gas pipe leading to the oven had the wrong coupling piece on it, which unsurprisingly caused a gas leak. All done in less than an hour. A month later there's still no more leak.  Yay.

They installed the heater with no problems or delays. Because I have a gravity recirculating system in place that was not working after they installed the water heater they had to return and install a check valve which I did not have with the old water heater. All is now great. Thanks Matt and Dave.

Matt was a great resource for my project.  He listened closely to what I was trying to accomplish and contributed some excellent ideas during the planning stages.  The job took 4 days to complete.  Matt and his team were very professional throughout the project.  Matt was also easy to reach and very responsive.
In order to install the ejector pit his team had to cut the floor of the basement.  This was done in a very clean way (as clean as these jobs can be).   They took great care to minimize the dust and dirt from the project.
The ejector pit is complete, with pump installed and all plumbing and venting for the full bathroom and kitchenette.  Matt also cut a clean out flush with the floor and move the basement floor drain to the ejector pit.

It went very well.  Matt came out first to do the estimate and was very pleasant and easy to deal with . The plumber who did the work was on-time, polite, friendly, and seemed to be very competent.  He explained what he was doing and cleaned up well afterwards.  A call back to the office ended up reducing the total cost by $150.   The time estimate for the job that Matt gave me was accurate.   It's rained many times since then and I've had no problems.

Very easy to schedule and the techs came out the next day right on time. I received a call about an hour before their visit to confirm they were on the way. They performed the work quickly and left everything clean. Pricing was also very reasonable. Would definitely use them again in the future.

They came out and I asked them to take a look at a problem I was having with my sink. He said I needed all new plumbing in my bathroom. Since he couldn't just fix what I needed, he evaluated other plumbing needs around the house.

Called the office on 11/24/14, Matt called back within an hour and we discussed what needed to be done and he gave me an estimate, due to the holiday we ended up scheduling the work for 8:00 11/28/14. The plumbers showed up on time and put down tarps over the carpet and got the job on time and according to the estimate, they cleaned up everything well. I will recommend them to others.

They left our house with all cleaned up after the toilet was installed. The owner called me back this aternoon 7-16-14 to make sure all was OK. I'm really impressed with this outfit and would definitely use them again in the future.

We set up date for estimate on Angie's List.  Matt arrived w/in a couple days and took plenty of time to explain options and make recommendations. He never pushed the most expensive options.  He gave us the estimate before he left.  We called him later that day with our choices.  One week later Matt, Mike, and Doug were here and did all the work in one day, some big jobs.  They arrived on time. They had all the pieces and parts that they needed.  They worked quickly, worked well together, and were really pleasant.  After finishing, Matt explained how the new things worked, gave us the manuals, and cleaned up carefully.  The bill was exactly as estimated.
I feel certain that if we have any problems, which I do not anticipate, Matt and his guys will be very responsive and take care of things right away.
We will definitely call Fox Valley Plumbing for any future plumbing needs

It was a complete water purification system with two big tanks, one carbon filtering and one was descaling. Then they also installed a filter and water softener . Four big systems were installed . It was quite a bit of plumbing, whole house water conditioning. They are good, they are very good. They use quality products and they did quality plumbing. They use real high quality plumbing fixture.  They did great work!
