 + -1 moreThe technician called and told me when he would be there. He showed up on time and work quickly. He told me what type of equipment I needed to get started. I made the purchase and Jeremy spent some time on the phone helping me to set up my network. He was patient and knowledgeable. Michelle took care of billing, and was very patient. I have service, it is fast, and I am very pleased.

 + -1 moreService man arrived on time and was very helpful. He supplied material and special equipment for the antenna sweep to determine the best location and height. It took us about 15 minutes to find the sweet spot for antenna location and about 30 minutes for the installation. He provided material and expertise and was very pleasant.
Description of Work: I have been a customer of FVI for 7 years. I began having problems with signal dropout (momentary loss of internet service) early 2012. I called the tech support and they gave me some things to try by myself. The service improved slightly after their suggestions, but still not at the level I expected. They sent out their service man to address my issues. He was on time and a great help. After the service call, my service has been very good with no further issues. The charges for his work were added to my monthly bill (very reasonable for his time spent and equipment and supplies used).

 + -1 moreFox Valley had been out a couple of times in the past 2 years and was unable to reach our house with their service. We live in Burlington and have no options for high speed internet. Fox valley followed up with me that they had a new type of antenna that would be able to send its signal through our heavily wooded area. They came out and installed the antenna, took about an hour. Service has been working great and does work with all of the leaves on the trees. I have the 1.5mb down and 150K up service at $29 month with one year commitment.

 + -1 moreOverall, I like them. Their only downfall is that they don't offer a lot of the finished applications, etc., that some other services (SBC Yahoo, Earthlink) offer.
Description of Work: Provided wireless (Motorola Canopy) internet access at 384kbps uplink, 3Mbps downlink. Service includes e-mail accounts. Paid $150 for installation, and $40/month for service (1-year contract). Speeds were good at first, then dropped down for a month or two (sometimes as low as 512kbps). I called them concerning this (and another issue with setting up a VPN), and the speeds are now up again: consistently 300kbps/2.8Mbps. In my area, SBC--I mean AT&T-- won't even sell me DSL (until recently), and Earthlink was limited to 128kbps/1.5Mbps @ $40/month (1-year contract).
