FLEX FLOORS INC

I picked out the flooring (Mr. Bamboo brand) I wanted and showed it to Raul. He agreed and had me sign the contract. I paid for half up front, by check. When the flooring was delivered to my house, I noticed the flooring did not say "Mr. Bamboo" on it. When questioned, Raul stated that the box sometimes has different names on it. He assured me that he picked it up from Mr. Bamboo (local company). I then called Mr. Bamboo to inquire about that. The Mr. Bamboo representative said, "yeah he came in and we gave him a quote on the flooring. He tried to negotiate with us on price , but he never placed the order or bought anything from us."
I was very upset about this since I did a lot of research on which flooring I wanted. When I contacted Raul to discuss, he became very agitated that I questioned this. He then admitted he bought the flooring somewhere else. It was not the same brand and had no warranty. Raul said that it was just as good and there is no difference. I said I wanted my money/check back. He refused and showed me a copy of the contract. He said, "no where on here did you write in the brand of flooring you wanted." I said, "I gave you the exact sample board with the brand, type and color."
I felt stuck. It was either lose my $7,000 or install low quality flooring at an expensive price. He wanted another $1,000 to go get the right brand flooring. I just did that. The (Mr. Bamboo) flooring is great. The installers incidentally damaged the security system.
Raul Garcia is dishonest, greedy and took advantage of a naive home-owner. Beware!
