They weren't trying to up sell me on additional services or possible upgrades to my current system. I started using them because of the prices.

When Steve form EZ comfort came to check out my problem with the furnace he noticed that someone has tampered with my furnace circuit board and that the wiring were just a mess. I had been left without heat due to a short in the circuit board and the furnace would not start up.
Steve evaluated the problem and within 5 minutes he REVIVED the circuit board and the furnace started up again! He was amazing and knowledgeable. Steve is a very knowledgeable and honest person.He provides quality work. Another company was quoting me $600 to fix the furnace because of the circuit board at that price the other company suggested I purchase a new furnace. Steve charged me only $75 to fix my furnace. He is now my to go guy when it comes to my furnace!

First, I want to say I'm really surprised at the negative reviews for Steve. I happened on him by accident a few years ago and I think he's always delivered good service and pricing for us.
In this instance, I called Steve to replace the humidifier, which was old with disintegrating parts and had been annoying me for several years. He checked out the job, then sent a guy who showed up on time, installed a new unit. Integrated it neatly with our current furnace, installed updated parts where necessary, left us with an extra filter and instructions on how to install it.
I haven't had any problems with it in the last year and 1/2. I realize this review is overdue, but I just saw the negative reviews out here and wanted to put in my two cents.
In regard to being unprofessional, he seems to run most of the business himself and take calls, etc. He isn't a corporation with 500 employees like Four Seasons in Chicago - he's just a small business owner making the best out of his resources. We all have our bad days.
I haven't used him for a major job, although that's why I was looking out here today. My AC might be giving up the ghost and I'm having him look at it first to see if he can rescue it.

Very straightforward. They started on time at 8:30 AM and were finished by 10:45AM. Removed the old unit and installed the new A/C along with a new heat exchange coil. Cleaned up and removed any packing and debris.

I was billed $5400 for the job. They were decent, courteous, professional, and good. I am not sure if I will use them again in the future.

He arrived as promised and the work got done efficiently and professionally. I have used Steve's company since I moved to Streamwood in 1999 because that was the sticker on the furnace! But as it turned out he has always done good work, he knows his business well and his service fees are very reasonable. He is a very knowledgeable and fair person to deal with.

I called EZ Comfort at 8:45 am and Steve came within 10 minutes. He diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and lit the furnace so we had heat while he got the necessary part and quickly installed the ignition switch and the furnace worked properly right away.
