C.H. CONSTRUCTION

It took two guys almost all day, they had to re-support the poles. They put some extra supports in it so it would not bow. They had to extract the poles and put brand new ones in. They secured them every 4 feet. Had a facade put on my side. They made the fence look different then my neighbors. I thought the price was reasonable.  He is a good sport, does work that a handyman would do.

Everything went well, looks beautiful. He had great suggestions that we went with to improve design.

The project went absolutely great from start to finish. Chris came out on a Sunday morning with very little notice to look at a couple of projects. We decided to get the master bath done--if he could get it done before we moved in (only a few weeks away).
He was able to get us scheduled very quickly and got right to work. He was super responsive every step of the way, via email, text and phone--even on weekends when we were agonizing over design decisions, shower door choices, etc. Since we weren't living there at the time, this was especially appreciated.
The project started off a bit rocky, as we had a major pipe leak/plumbing disaster. It was technically caused by the demolition but it was NOT at all his fault. A lot of investigation showed that the plumbing had been done really poorly. Chris helped us figure out next steps and helped us not panic. He also got in extra help to help get our ceilings patched after the plumbing aspect of the project had been fixed.
The plumbing issue set the bathroom work back a bit, but the project was finished a day after we moved in, which we were very happy with.
Best of all--it all looks fantastic. We appreciate the professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail every step of the way. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone.

It went well. Bathroom looks great. Chris came up with some great ideas for the ceiling when we had duct work and limited space. It is kind of an awkward space but Chris made it all look great. He cleaned all the debris and was done very timely. We would definitely use them again.

His prices are cheap.

He was polite, punctual, professional, neat, and just does a really good job.  He has good attention to detail and just all around excellent.  We're going to hire them again to install a clothesline in the backyard.  My mom and dad are going to hire him to remodel their bathroom.

Aside from the functional aspects of the bathroom remodel, another obvious benefit is to transform the space to one that is more aesthetically pleasing.  A standard bathtub replaced the old one and we opted to have the walls and the ceiling directly above the bathtub tiled with 8x20 ceramic tiles versus covered by another surround.  New tub and shower fixtures, ceramic corner shelves, and dual-curved shower rod were installed as well.  The remodel, from start to finish, went exactly like this:

Day One: Demo and removal of bathtub and connected surround.  Sheetrock behind the surround was also removed.  New bathtub was installed.

Day Two: Water lines were adjusted to accommodate slightly higher tub height.  The section of wall where the assist bars were to be hung was beefed up with studs (There's probably a more technical term for this), and then Durarock was mounted to that wall. Water lines put in place for shower head and the tub fixtures were installed.

Day Three: Remaining Durarock was installed and then all seams were taped and mudded.  Once the mud was set and sanded, later that afternoon, tile and corner shelves began to be put up.

Day Four:  Tiling of the walls and ceiling was completed.

Day Five: Exact positioning of shower assist bars was determined and then holes drilled for their mounting hardware.  Tile was grouted, seams caulked, assist bars and any remaining fixtures were installed.

From start to finish (which includes the day we contacted him to seek an estimate) Chris was professional, pleasant, considerate, punctual, knowledgeable and efficient.  He listened to what we wanted to accomplish with the remodel and offered his professional opinion on certain aspects of the job, which was welcomed.  For instance, the tile we chose is larger than average (8x20) and wished to have it installed vertically.  Chris realized that by installing a tile that size on the ceiling, odd lengths needed to be cut (because of the dimensions of the ceiling area) and that the grout lines of the ceiling tile would not match the grout lines of the tile on the walls.  He suggested cutting the ceiling tiles all to a certain size so that all of the grout lines overall will line up, and so that the tile on the ceiling would be a more uniform size overall.  Fantastic!

My fiance' and I got a good vibe from Chris and his assistant immediately (during the estimate), felt they were best suited for the job of the three companies we received quotes from, and we have absolutely no regrets about hiring C. H. Construction for our remodel.  We are very pleased with the end result.  Without hesitation, we will hire C. H. Construction for future upgrades we make to our home.
