New Heights Roofing

They did a great job, fair in price and they worked quickly.

I had a tree fall on my house during recent ice storm.  Ron gave me a quote and about 3 weeks later the job was finished.  I never had any problems with their work. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them for roofing.

Heavy rain early on a Friday morning and I heard the dreaded drip of a leaking roof.  Got on Angie's list and found New Heights Roofing in El Paso and called them because they are roughly fifteen minutes away.  Typical went to voicemail.  A couple of hours later had a return phone call from Ron.  He happened to be doing estimates that day so shortly after lunch he came out to do the estimate in very light rain.  He gave me two choices.  Fix the flashing around the house vents saying in five years the roof will need to be done, which I knew, or do everything now.  I chose the latter.  Expect  to sign an estimate and put 50% down.  10 year labor warranty from New Heights Roofing for labor and a 30 year warranty on the shingles from the manufacturer
Because it was leaking? it was done roughly within a week.  At the time of the estimate he gave me a timeline of when the work was to be done and we both knew I was going to be out of town.  I don't know how long it took or how many people etc. All I can say on that is it looks good and zero cleanup on my part.
It's a 1568 sq ft typical single story ranch so there was nothing difficult.
I only have good things to say.

We had contacted several different companies in the area that did roofing and New Heights Roofing was right in our budget. We called and with in a few days Ron came and we discussed the kind of shingles and color we wanted. Within 1 day the shingles and supplies were delivered and on Friday 3 guys arrived promptly at 8 am and got right to work. 
They work very clean, a big  tarp is put down on the ground where ever they are going to work so the 2  guys on the roof can toss shingles onto it and there is 1 guy on the ground with a wheel barrow picking it all up and disposing of it in their trailer.
They go to lunch and before going they make sure most of their stuff is picked up and not in the home owners way. We appreciated that !
it took approx. 2 days for our new roof to be put on ..we picked a color you don't see anywhere else in the neighborhood and I have to say it really makes a difference in the way our home is presented.
I would DEFINATELY recommend New Heights Roofing to anyone who wants a good job done by 3 hard working guys !

Our century old 3 story farm house is a big one ! It had the original slate and also had an area that someone had cut into the slate to put up LARGE solar panels that never worked and caused leaking. Taking those off a roof so high  and steep along with tearing off the slate was going to be a challenge for any roofer . 
   We got 4 estimates/ bids ( 13500, 13,200 including gutters, 21,500  and Rons at 13,900 ) and New Heights was not the cheapest but we weren't looking for the cheapest -we were looking for someone who could do a great job and quality work  !  Ron Lance is the owner and he took his time with us explaining whatever questions we had. We found him to be open, honest and forthright. He also gave us addresses of about 10 houses in El Paso and Eureka that he'd done and said to feel free to talk with the owners.  
   We did drive by and look over those houses and we knocked on peopled doors and asked about their experiences. Not one had anything negative to say and they were all very pleased with their roofs. These were large older homes like ours so that really gave us confidence that he was the right guy to roof our home. Being well known and respected for your work in your own community was very helpful for us in making our decision. 
Going with the cheaper guy would have maybe ?saved us 2k (only because his bid included gutters) but we really felt the job was too big for him . (And would we have really saved if he upped his price as the project was underway ? ) Ron is on every roof they do overseeing his crew and we felt that valuable where as our other bidders werent .  
Our roof took about 9 days to complete.  There was one rain day in there also .They were here every morning around 7am and they cleaned up every day when they were ready to leave. His crew are all very polite and hard workers. Along the way Ron found we had an old covered over built in gutter that had been partially torn out (and covered with shingles along the perimeter of our roof) . They had to tear the rest out and then fill that gap with wood . He also found a small section near our chimney that he said he'd prefer to re-deck . He didn't charge us extra for these things. We paid what he bid . 
All that being said, we unreservedly recommend New Heights roofing

They did a great job. They were the cheapest of 5 bids. Their workers were really great to work with and all of them were very honest.
