Oberlander Electric

Called at 3:00 pm. Was told it would be time and a half. Was here 1 hour. The part was $39.26. Total bill was $664.26 wanted payment on the spot. Talked to the company the next day. Was told they could charge for as much time as they wanted. Which means they charged for well over 2 hours of driving. Very unethical

Needed new meter base for my electric to be restored (had a partial outage). I called and advised I need someone today, otherwise my electric would be off until fixed. Chad w/ Oberlander came out. This guy is a hard worker! He had a new meter base for me and I was up and running within a coupe of hours! Thanks to him and to Ameren for the hard work to get my services restored! Oberlander is my "go to" for electrical! Thank you.

They are great. Punctual, pretty good at getting close to the estimated cost, and always do a great job. They get down to business and don't waste time. He left and had to get something at Menards, and didn't charge us for the time out. 
They are a little pricier than other electical companies out there, but you get what you pay for.

The service man that came was excellent, he worked all day on it. He definitely did an excellent job as well as the customer service of filling up everything.

The job was about two hours. They provided reasonable price, and did everything that was expected. They gave me some good advice.

They were very very good. They are very professional. They listened to some of the detail work that we want it done and they were just very good about it. We were really happy. I can't say enough good stuff about them. They delivered what they said they were going to do. There were qualified to do the work and they listens to the customers. I would definitely use them again.

Wow, this was really a pleasant experience compared to other electrical contractors we've dealt with. They were able to give us a quote over the phone . The electrician was prompt and knew exactly what he was doing. We will use them every time for future electrical needs.

Our electric bills have been pretty high and we had concerns that something with the wiring might not be right. We purchased this house in 2011 and had never checked anything in regards to electrical. Oberlander gave us the piece of mind that everything was ok, and some useful advice for free. We weren't even really aware we had ELECTRIC (instead of gas) water heaters until they told us. Prior we had an energy audit through Ameren, and their inspector did not even point this out regarding our high bills.

2 of our outlets went out at the same time. I called an was scheduled for and quot;first calland quot; at 7:00 am the next morning (they also agreed to try, if someone freed up, to get there the day I called).
Tech showed up early, quickly identified the problem and reconnected a loose wire in the outlet.
He told my wife he couldn't charge an hour's labor for 2 minutes work. No charge! Made my wife very happy and we now have an electrician who will always be our and quot; first call!and quot;

Oberlind arrived about one a half hours after I called, The took time to find the problem and fixed it in good time

They were very prompt when I called, and I was able to explain to them what my problem is over the phone. The man came out, and told me what needed to be done. We set a date to have that done, and he bought everything that was needed. He just took care of his business. With that same incident, I called another place that was on Angie's List. I had the opposite, and I ended up not using them. It was difficult to schedule a time for them to come to the house, and then when they did, they told me that I needed to change out the entire electrical panel. There were something that wasn't right, so I said, " I'm going to call somebody else and have it assessed also."

Wired two 220 volt outlets for me. I already had 220v in the house, but I needed outlets next to my windows for the air conditioning units. They did an outstanding job and there was no service fee for the other estimates asked for. Thanks guys!

Our laundry room light would go out unexpectedly, or not turn on at all - then come on later. We changed the fluorecent bulbs ourselves but that didn't work. We were worried it was a problem with the electrical that may cause a fire. We called Oberlander (after hours but left a Non-emergency call back request) and they called immediately the next morning. We were able to schedule them right away and it took less than an hour to check the switches and change the fixture. Like most companies, you pay for a full service hour, no matter how short of a time it takes. The serviceman was friendly, courteous and fast. We would use them again.

Oberlander gave us a bid on installing an electric panel and some lighting in a new horse arena. They beat two other Angie's list companies by a significant amount.
Due to delays on our end we asked if the job could be split into two parts: installing conduit and the panel on one day and then the lights on a different day. This was no problem and did not increase the estimate at all.
There were two different electricians and both were friendly, professional and hard working. They arrived on time and did the work well and precisely as we wanted it.
The final bill was exactly the same as the estimate.
I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in a heartbeat.

Oberlander was great to work with. They were always on time. They got the work done despite the delay in the power company not showing up until 10am to cut the power. And the work was done in time to meet the power company's deadline for restoring power by 2pm. They upgraded at our request from the consumer grade to commercial grade panel. The installer was extremely informative and seemed to appreciate my presence during the install. We had used Oberlander in the past and have no reservations about using them in the future. Great job.

When I called for an appointment the manager asked excellent probing questions to ensure he (and I) was clear about the work we wanted done. A home visit was made within 2 days (because of my schedule) and practical options with associated cost and time involved were provided. We are well satisfied with the work and the price.
