We have been using Lea for routine heat and air service for several years. they are always prompt, professional and friendly. So, when it came time to replace an air conditioner there was no question but that Lea would do it. The installation was seamless. Will arrived on time, did a great job and left all areas in which he worked clean and orderly. Couldn't be happier.

My parents furnace would not work so I recommended Lea Heating. My father called for an appointment on a Monday morning. On Tuesday morning, they had not shown and my father said he didn't think they were coming. Since my parents needed heat, I went over at lunch time and found that a small motor and blower needed replacement. I went to the store and got the motor but had to order the blower wheel because they did not have the right size. I had the motor removed and installed on the bracket and went back to work since the wheel would not be delivered until the next day. All that was needed was for the blower wheel to be installed (a 5-minute job). At about 3:30 that afternoon, Lea Heating showed up. My father called me and put the technician on the phone. He said he had the blower wheel on his truck. I asked him how much it would be and told him it would be up to my parents since I had already ordered the wheel. My mother also asked him how much it would be and decided that since they would already have to pay the $95 charge to show up, they may as well have Lea Heating install the blower motor. We expected a charge of about $300.

Later that evening, my father called and said they were charged $445. This included 1-1/2 hours of labor onsite, the $95 service charge to show up and $140 for a part which I ordered for less than $30. While I fully understand that Lea Heating (and all contractors) charge a markup, we feel my parents were over-charged for both the part and labor...especially since the technician told my parents and me that it would cost about $300 to fix. They didn't even get the $100 senior discount advertised! My mother thinks the technician was mad because I had started the repair. Believe me, if we knew he was coming, I wouldn't have worked on the furnace but like I said, they needed heat.

I called Lea Heating the next day and spoke with the office. I was eventually put on the phone with Pat who I am told is one of the managers. He told me he would need to investigate (which I fully understand) and would call me the next day. No phone call. I gave it two days and called again. Pat wasn't in so I left a message. No response.

In fairness, my father was not clear when Lea would be coming out. According to the office, my father was told it would be Tuesday afternoon. For whatever reason, my father thought they were coming on Monday. Regardless, we believe my parents were overcharged by at least $100. I spoke with Pat who promised a return call and I didn't get it. This whole experience has been very unfortunate.

House air temperature began to drop on Saturday night. Furnace blower worked but no heat. Sunday morning, air temperature was 48 degrees. I called Lea at approx. 9:30 AM; an operator got my information and a technician was to call me back within 30 minutes. The technician called within the 30 minutes and told me he would be out after his first call. He called again when he was on his way and arrived about an hour later approx 12:45 PM. I showed him the furnace and he went to work. He was finished in about an hour, and the furnace was working and the air temp increased throughout the day.
  1. I rated the price at and quot;Cand quot; because this is a lesson learned.
              1. 1. I would have avoided the double-time Sunday premium if I called on Saturday night. I could not wait until Monday. The technician would have made a Saturday evening service call. On a side note, I did use the website contact page on Saturday night to email a service appointment, but no response on Sat. night nor Sunday morning, so I made the call.
              2. 2. The fix was pushing in a switch. The cause of the tripped switch is unknown and I appreciate the technician trying to find the root cause. Applying the fix, if known would have saved a service call and $450. Then if the switch were to trip again I would have made the service call. It should be noted if the switch trips again or needs replacement I will be out $$ for another service call.

I used them the same time I purchased the deal. They came out right away. There were additional charges because they recommended some more service which I took. They recommended that I change the heating and A/C unit. I would recommend them. This was the first time I used them. I didn't have issues with the unit since they did the replacement.

Lea Heating and A/C are wonderful. I use them all the time anyway. Unfortunately I was only able to buy one certificate and I have 2 furnaces, so I had to pay full price for the second one. Everything was okay. They are always efficient, prompt, and I have never had a problem with them. I have used them for years and years.

We have had Lea Heat and Air service our furnaces/air conditioners in the past and have always been satisfied. So, when it came time to replace the humidifiers we called Lea. Their price was competitive, they showed when they said they would ( in this case the next day ) and did beautiful work. The installers were polite and personable and took the time to explain what they'd done and to insure that I understood the operation and maintenance of the new units.

Very good experierience with Lea Heating. Out for the evening ... returned at 9 PM .... No heat ... called Lea ... Tech called back in 10 minutes .... Walked me through some troubleshooting ... Tech was very helpful ..... determined that problem was no power to unit ... He offered options for emergency service overf weekend or standard service on Monday .... made decision to have serviced on Monday. Tech arrived on Monday mid morning ... did very thorough diagnostic and isolated problem to circuit failure due to sump pump problem (On same circuit) .... rectified that problem and did further diagnostic on motor and other components to ensure no other problems. Unit operational within 1 hour of tech arriving .... We are very happy with the professionalism and expertise of both techs and happily recommend Lea Heating to anyone in need of HVAC service.

At the end of the job, he suggested that it might be wise if I were to
think about getting a new furnace as my unit was 16 years old. He said
my type of furnace would no longer be available after 2012 and that
there were rebates available this year should I decide to upgrade. There
was no pressure involved. A week or so later, he submitted some quotes
on new units. Although I probably need a need furnace, I passed on his
suggestion.
Overall, I was very satisfied with Lea.

They cleaned it and inspected the AC unit. They were supposed to call me back, but never ended up hearing back from them. The service was fine, other than that. They could have at least called me back to let me know if they wouldn't do it.

Our air conditioner was not working. Problem was diagnosed as a 'board' and needed to be ordered. Board replace a week later. Within 24 hours the furnace did not work properly- it was going on, cutting out, going on, and cutting out. Repairman out and said we had an electrical problem. We thought this was wrong because we have two furnaces and air conditioners and the second unit was functioning properly. Called company and requested a different repairperson. Another came out and also said it was electrical, probably the electrical switch on the furnace, but he did not have a switch in the truck to replace. Called an electrician who confirmed there was NO problem with the electrical or with the switch although he did replace the switch given the minimal cost.We then contacted Lea the next morning and they sent a repairman out that afternoon who properly diagnosed the problem. No problems since, all systems operating as they should.

When we decided to get a new furnace, we signed up for Angie's List and found Lea Heating and Air Conditioning along with two other contractors. Mark Lea came out to give us his estimate. He asked us a few questions about the house, including whether or not we planned on staying here for a long time. He also asked if we had any problems with the air in any of the rooms. We explained that the basement was always cold and one of the bedroom on the second floor didn't seem to get any air. He looked over our existing system and checked the problem areas. There did seem to be air flow in the bedroom. He then explained to us that our current system was too big for our house. He explained to us how a blower that is too large can cause an airflow backup (static pressure) in the lines that could cause the air going to the bedroom to not make it there in a heated or cooled state. He recommended a specific furnace based on our needs and the fact that we intended to stay there. He recommended the addition of two new vents added to our finished basement to provide more heat. He also recommended that we move a return vent in the basement from close to the ceiling to near the floor and rework the duct so that it pulls more air. We also showed him an old inline vent fan that didn't work that we wanted removed. He described all the work in detail, the prices, the rebates we could get and didn't try to upsell us on any additional stuff, like duct sealing. After talking to another contractor that described their air cleaner, we decided we wanted a one for my asthma. We called Mark and he was able to get us what we wanted for a good price. After getting all the quotes, we decided to go with Lea because he recommended what we felt was the best solution.
On the day of the job, two workers came out on time. They laid out a tarp from the garage to the furnace area in the basement and began the project. Once they finished the furnace, they moved on to the duct work. During the whole project, the workers were professional, hard-working and friendly. They finished in a few hours and explained to us how to use the new high tech thermostat. A couple days later I had a question about something and sent them an email and received a quick reply that answered my question.
We were very happy with the whole experience and will definitely use them in the future.

They came first thing the morning after their diagnosis, got rid of the old unit and put in the new one. We picked them, because we had liked their work on our new furnace a few years ago. They were courteous, industrious, professional and cleaned up well.

I needed a new furnace and received an estimate in August from Mark Lea. He was very professional and explained the new system thoroughly. While I did think he was a bit pushy about which system I should get, I have used Lea Heating for more than 10 years and have always been happy with them. The installers were on time, got to work, finished the job in the time allotted and cleaned up after themselves. Everything is working great.

We worked with them for 20 years. I know them inside out and we use them on a regular basis. They are consistently giving good quality. They don’t have bad service or bad follow-ups. They have been around forever. They probably are the most well known company around in this area. That was the good thing about them and the bad thing is that the furnace they put in for us was not the best. We were not quite as happy with their product. That was many years ago, and I don’t think that is a fair comment anymore. Now they provide better ones. They send out guys who would do anything and explain anything you want to know. I felt they are competent. They are a little bit pricy; however, they give better service. They have always been leaders all these years, and I think they have always tried to stay on the top. They would be considered more as a local vendor. These guys are more local and can spread 50 miles in all direction. I recommend them as a quality company and in terms of reliability over the years and in terms of the service they provide. You get what you pay for with them. You can count on them and they are 24/7. The people who work for them are competent, nice, and friendly. They are willing to share their knowledge to help you with your product. They have been around for long enough and know what they are doing. They are totally reliable.
