Horrible experience - worst ever. Though the Owner seems quite nice and has the ability to speak intelligently about construction - beware. I paid 7500 out of 10,000 budget. I fired them with only half the work done - so I lost money - and was happy to see them go. The new ceiling they installed looked worse than the 80 year old one they ripped down. I had to pay other contractors to redo some of their 'shoddy' work. I believe people from his crew were hired from the home depot parking lot - that's what some of the crew told me - did this mean he was bringing people into my house he didn't even know??. People he hired for the job called me later and told me they were never paid - even though I gave him money and they should have been paid. He was horrible about returning phone calls (once he disappeared for two weeks then told me he lost his phone and didn't know how to get a hold of me - really?). I tracked down a couple other people he was doing work for to see if perhaps he had a pattern of bad work and bad follow-through. I found a couple other people who had hired him - their stories were so much worse than mine - they were in so much worse trouble than me - that I actually felt a huge sense of relief that I wasn't in their shoes - I know, how sad. One woman was crying to me on the phone about how she felt financially ruined by him - and it is for her and his other unhappy customers that I feel obligated to share my experience. Too bad - all they had to do was show up on time and do the work - which wasn't even that hard to do. Instead, I felt like I was the victim of someone elses bad habits, bad planning, and whatever else was going on.

They were horrible. On August 13, 2008, they gave us their written estimate, including work to be done. The job was supposed to begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, and be completed within 3 days, by the 23rd. To date, this job has never been completed. They have never returned any of our phone calls. We received months and months, of we will be there this date, someone will show up; they would show up late; they wouldn t show up at all; they would be here for an hour and something would come up or they weren t prepared, so they would leave. They never finished our bathroom. We paid half of the money, which was $1000, up front, and because the work wasn t being done he kept telling us that he would take $200 off. It ended up, where they had blown us off for so long that he said that we didn t need to worry about the other $1000, they would just finish the bathroom. We called and called, even emailed, and they never came back to finish it. They did actually get the shower installed, but never caulked, finished, or fixed the drywall. The shower is not even standard. They didn t get the shower high enough and apologized for that; it is just a mess. I was not impressed at all with their work, and was shocked by their lack of communication and disregard for us. It was just a horrible experience all around, and we ended up having to hire someone else to come out and finish the work for us. They have made me leery of contractors now. Their quote was comparable to another quote that we had received, and we chose them because their presentation was a lot better, and it seemed as if he would be the one for us. They would show up unannounced. We would take off work for them to be here, and they would either not show up or would only work for an hour. I do NOT want them back in my home.

After getting the estimate, they were very prompt in starting the job. Demo was messy, but that is to be excepted. They helped me with the design. I wasn't sure on how I wanted the layout to go, but with their experience they helped me with that. After picking out the materials, it took them 60 days to finish up a 1600 sq ft basement with 3/4 bathroom. I am very happy with the outcome of my experience with this company.
