into a house. I packed my own things, but they moved everything,
including down a flight of stairs. They also stopped off at a friend's
house to load some of his things as well. They were kind enough to make
another stop to drop off our dishwasher that we didn't need any more.
They charge per mile as well as for the moving itself. They were very
friendly and took great care with my things.
I went with a national company for my move and booked 6 weeks out. Even with frequent check-ins and down payment they didnt show up (truck trouble). I was closing on my house in 2 days and needed a large move from Southern Illinois to North Carolina. In a panic I called SIMs. They were understanding, compassionate and professional from the first phone call. An estimate was given the same day and they moved me two days later. Actually SEVEN men moved a 5BR/3B house onto a truck in 2.5 hours all well secured and wrapped, Their supervisor even arrived to inspect and review and make sure all was well and that I was pleased. Pick up was on time (actually 30 min early) and drop off was on the morning they promised. They unloaded in near 100 degree heat for over 8 hours and did it the right way with caution and professionalism. We guessed I had about 10K pounds of stuff and now a week later I am fully unpacked and found NOT ONE THING DAMAGED OR BROKEN!!. I know I paid more due to the short notice, but I would do it again. Great group!
