He does remodeling. His brother has a good reputation and does good job. This is his younger brother. He came out and got the job. It was probably too big for him. He came in here with 7 people and in 2 weeks he completed the job. He walked off the job towards the end of it. He wanted to give us two crappy credits for incomplete work. I didn?t agree for it and I told him to complete the job or I would deduct it from the final amount. He did some very good work and then he got to a point where he didn?t want to be bothered. He then moved on to the next job. I had to pay upfront when he started the electrical work and again pay him upfront for the plumbing work. He was doing all the start ups but he wasn?t finishing it up. So we just put a hold on it. We told him once he completed the electrical and the plumbing work then we will move on to the next one. He didn?t like that at all. He left the gas line going to the gas grill out in the back yard. He put it in the off position and turned the gas off and then he plastered over it. When we had the first open house party we could not get the gas. I made him come over and he sent his son over to punch a hole in our furnace room so we could have the gas. He did things like that which were nasty, aggravating and stupid. It was a big size job. The contract was worth about $300,000. He just walked off. One day we noticed there were no tools. He told us that he was moving to a different job. He told me he was going to give some credit for what he had finished like the extra trim, some electrical work that hadn?t passed the inspection, etc. He parked his truck under our balcony. He drove the truck out and it pulled the balcony parkway away from the house. It cost us $4,700 to fix that. We anyway had to replace that balcony too. Our roofer who was a phenomenal roofer sent two guys out who did everything they didn?t do in 2 days. We also had a robbery while he was working on our house. I am sure one of his guys stole 7 big fancy kitchen chairs but they couldn?t get the table out. One of the guys left the sliding door open in the balcony. As it had snowed there were footprints on the balcony. You could see the work boots. He didn?t take any responsibility and told me to call the insurance company. He told me none of his tools were gone. He also told us we should have locked the doors. He was very bad when it came to that. The price was comparable. We had the architect look at his work and he approved it. He did really good things and then really stupid things. He made it bad at the end. I would never hire him again.
Description of Work: I hired Sennstroms Remodeling & Construction Inc for total remodeling of our house in 2001. They had to add three rooms; two new ones and convert one garage into a media room. They also had to build a detached car garage and insulate it.
