Painters USA did a fantastic job on our facility. They were professional, easy to work with, and completed the project on time with minimal disruption. The quality of their work was top-notch—our floors and walls look great. Highly recommend for any industrial or commercial job!

Painters USA demonstrated a stunning inability to comprehend simple instructions and perform any sort of satisfactory work.  They were to strip the wood of it's current paint, and prepare it for repainting.  They did not strip it as required.  They then painted it with the wrong color, and incorrect type of paint.  On top of it all, they left a mess.  They failed SEVERAL inspections, and just couldn't get it right.  Note that the specifications were not complex at all - this should have been a simple job.  We halted the work early in the project and hired another firm, who satisfactorily completed the work in a couple of days.  Our contract provided for cancellation for non-performance, as well as a provision for liquidated damages (to undo what they screwed up.)  They billed us anyway for the work they were unable to competently perform.
The president of the company contacted us several times to try and find out what went wrong.  He repeatedly stated that word of mouth is his greatest advertising, and that they take complaints very seriously.  He wanted to make it right, but also didn't feel they did anything wrong.  We asked if he had been to the property to view the work of his employees, and if he had seen first hand the poor and non-conforming job- He had not once visited the property.
Several months later, Painters USA sold the open invoice to a debt collection firm.  They filed a lawsuit against us, and we were forced to pay thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend ourselves.  We are a non-profit homeowner's association, and all we wanted was our wooden fences to be painted.  Instead, what we got was thousands of dollars in legal fees for no work performed.

First day of painting seemed to be going ok at first - they used dropcloths and taped off the areas they were painting.  They sanded down the stained trim and primed it so it would be ready to paint the next day.  Finished two coats on the walls of the dining room and one coat on the hallway and living room.  They cleaned up and vacuumed before they left for the day.  As I went around to inspect the work I noticed that the floors will still really dusty in the living room and dining room and they completely missed vacuuming the bathroom off the hallway where they sanded down the frame and door.  My wife and I cleaned the floors which were brand new hardwood installed the week before and found several scuffs and a couple bad scratches in the new floor.  Every doorway opening where they primed had small paint splatters all over the floors.  Also, all the door handles had primer splotches on them or plaster repair mud on them.  It seemed like they took very little care for our home while they were here.  I was upset and left them a message about this so it would hopefully be better the next day.  They sent out an additional foreman to help fix the problems and get the job done.  They cleaned the paint off the floor and door handles and they used a stain pen to hide the scratches in the floor which helped hide them but did not really fix the scratches.  They were very polite and responsive to the complaints and their edges were good and straight but their overall cleanliness and care for our home was pretty bad.  I would not recommend these painters to anybody.

Very polite, very responsive, reasonable, ethical just lousy painters.  In fairness I was referred by a neighbor who had a good experience.  However, the team I got were not skilled in any fashion.  Areas of patching not sanded, tops of window casing not painted, etc.  Outside painting was sub par and when pointed out to sales rep he indicated he thought it was a fine job.  That should have warned me to cancel interior work.  My mistake.  I think if you get the right crew you will be fine.  If only one member of the crew speaks english it talk volumes.  I would consider hiring them again based on price but would not let the crew that worked on my house this time paint again even if they paid me.  A drywall crew that have become painters due to the economy do not painters make.

6/26/12 - I have had to update this review as now that we have arrived at summer I need to downgrade a couple of items.  My comments that the drywall patch was a good job needs to be modified as the soon appears to show that it is somewhat lesser quality as the seams shows voids.  Also the stupid decision to spray my French doors and not mask the glass but attempt to remove the paint from the glass with mineral spirits has turned into a  nightmare and in effect ruined my doors as we had guests arriving and needed to actually clean the smears of the glass and were unable to do so.  Result $2500 of trashed doors which will need to be replaced.  Replacement dos plus cost of painting new units means Painters USA will in fact put me in a negative position.

This was the third time our floors have been epoxy coated. The first two times the floors started to chip and crack within a few months. When Painters USA told me they would fix the problem I was skeptical. We are now going on our third year and have seen NO signs or chipping or cracking. I would highly recommend Painters USA to anyone considering epoxy coating for their floors. I would also welcome anyone to our plant to see for themselves and answer any questions.

They did a decent job. The worker who did the work had the invoice but would not give me the invoice but showed me the price on the invoice. I received the bill 2 weeks later and it was $75 more than what the invoice he showed me. He told me that they are starting a new policy that the invoice would got back to the office and then they would mail it to me. I believe there was supposed to be a senior discount which I don't think was subtracted from the bill.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL AS WELL. I HAVE 24 FT. CEILINGS IN MY LIVING ROOM AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEM WITH DOING THAT WITH APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THEM.

WORK WAS CONTRACTED IN SEPTMBER, 2001. BACK OF THE SHUTTERS WERE NOT PAINTED. SEVERAL WINDOWS WERE NOT SCRAPED. SPOTS WERE MISSED. CAULKING AND GLAZING WAS NOT COMPLETED. THE HOUSE WAS TO BE WASHED PRIOR TO PAINTING. IT WAS NOT WASHED. CLEANUP WAS NOT COMPLETE (THEY WERE CALLED BACK AND COMPLETED THE CLEANUP.) I HAD TO PROVIDE THEM WITH BROOMS FOR THIS SINCE THEY DIDN''T HAVE ANY. THE COMPANY PAINTER RETURNED IN JUNE OF 2002 TO TOUCH UP THE MISSED POINTS, PAINT THE BACK OF THE SHUTTERS, TOUCH UP PLACES WHERE THE PAINT HAD PEALED, AND COMPLETE THE CAULKING. THE HOUSE IS NOW DONE AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE ORIGINALLY. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND ADEQUATE BUT NOT GOOD. I DID NOT FEEL THAT SUPERVISION OF THE PAINTERS WAS ADEQUATE.
