They started on a Wednesday. He estimated that they would be done by Friday.

Work was actually completed the following Thursday. I don't think he realized how much dirt it was going to take.

But there was no complaining from him; just apologies for it taking too long and appreciation for our patience.

Really I think Fernando's a little bit of a perfectionist, which is a good thing in a landscaper. I thought he was going to declare it done on Wednesday, but he wanted to bring more dirt in on Thursday and make it right, which they did.

If I had to say something bad about my experience, it's just that his time estimate was way off. But he stuck to his price and never tried to get more money out of me, which I really appreciate. 

This isn't the first work I've had them do for me, and it won't be the last. Several of my neighbors have used him as well, all well satisfied.

We hadn't done really any landscape maintenance for years. I'd seen Laguna's working in the neighborhood and they always seemed to do a good job, so I called and left a message. Fernando called back the next day, I think, and came by to have a look. He said they'd come (if I remember right) some time the next week, and it was actually the week after when they made it - but the weather wasn't cooperating, so I assume they were doing other jobs earlier in his queue. When they came, they did a ton of work. I did have to ask them to do a couple other things we had discussed but he forgot, but it was several weeks, so that's forgivable. I'm afraid I've continued my pattern of not doing any landscaping myself, so the areas they seeded aren't looking great. I don't really consider it their fault, though.

Fernando was great. He showed up on time to give an estimate and gave a very detailed estimate. He stuck to his estimate meaning the price did not change -- he delivered as promised. Even though the permit took longer than we expected (not his fault), he still squeezed us in earlier in his schedule because he knew we were throwing a party the next weekend. The pavers look great and he even put extra sod around the sidewalk which wasn't part of his initial bid -- he said he did it because he knew we were having a party -- and he didn't charge us extra for it. The whole job took a day longer than he estimated but I didn't want them compromise quality for expediancy. Overall, I was very happy with the work and price.
