The bottom line of this incident is that Grant's Appliances had terrible customer service, extremely high prices, and a history of misleading or outright lying to their customers.
I have never had a more miserable experience.  We were in the market for appliances for a new house and stopped at Grant's on Butterfield.  Tim Bromberek was a good salesman.  He talked us into ordering everything right then, even though the house would not be ready for 4 months.  We had to pay to pay the entire amount up front, but they would hold it until we were able to accept the shipment.  The TV cabinet we bought was a floor model and was supposed to be wrapped and stored in their warehouse.  It seemed like a good idea to get it all done at once and Tim assured us that he would accommodate any sales that came up in the interim, which was apparently never even on his radar.  The first that we knew that there were problems was when I stopped in a couple of weeks later to ask how much advanced warning they would need to ship the order and found that the TV cabinet was back being used as a display instead of being protected in the warehouse.  They apologized and moved it back.  A month before we needed delivery, I went back to set the delivery time.  I had been told 2 weeks was sufficient.  A week before we were to accept delivery and move in, I received a call from Grant's that my refrigerator was just being built and would not be available for shipment until several days after we were supposed to move in.  The gentleman who called only wanted to know if I wanted the refrigerator delivered separately or if I wanted to hold the entire order until the refrigerator was ready.  Without a refrigerator we could not move in, but the person who called only cared about the one question about delivery.  I called the store and they did agree to lend us a loaner refrigerator until ours was ready.  We accepted delivery, part of which was supposed to be the setup of all of the appliances.  We did not realize that the TV that we bought would be set up on a different day, which had been scheduled without our knowledge or agreement to the date and time. When the people came to "set up" the tv, we found that it was not the model that we had seen in the store and ordered.  The big thing that we liked was that it swiveled.  This one did not and we found that the tv had been "upgraded" to a different model without our knowledge and consent.  After complaining, they found the original model was still available and we were assured that it swiveled and they agreed to switch it.  The new refrigerator was finally brought in and the people who installed it, left without doing a full set up including removing all of the wrapping and left quite a mess.  The tv came on a different day and again, they scheduled the "set up" of the TV on a separate day, also without our knowledge or agreement even after the complaints about the first time that they had done this.   The people delivering the TV were supposed to also check the dryer, which still had a smell of gas.  They supposedly fixed the dryer, but later I found that they had neglected to turn the gas back on.  The TV as delivered was refused because it still did not swivel.  We finally decided to just have them take the TV back, especially when we found that we could get the same model for $300.00 less and an upgraded one for $200.00 less that actually did swivel.  We were assured repeatedly that the credit would be issued on the day that the TV was returned.  Two days after returning the TV, there was still no indication of the credit to the account and in calling the customer service number I found that it would be 10 days before the credit would be issued.  So again, we were basically lied to about the issue. The people that I talked to about the issue were belligerent and unhelpful.  There was never any concern about what we as the customer had issues about.  They had our money and customer service was unnecessary to them.
I will never purchase anything from them again.

The men who installed the new refrigerator didn't check to make sure the ice maker was hooked up correctly. There's a clamp on the back of the frig that holds the water line tight so it doesn't move and leak - they didn't attach the clamp; one week later I had water seeping up from between the planks of my laminate floor because the water line was loose. $6500 later - my insurance company had to pay to replace the entire floor. Grant's reimbursed my insurance but it never should have happened. Also, the rebate program is a scam - the company that is supposed to send you your gift card is bankrupt and out of business.

Senga is very knowledgeable about dishwashers. She knew exactly the make and model from the product number I gave her. When I said I was checking prices elsewhere, she went online to find the current prices at several other stores, and beat the lowest price by $20. The dishwasher was $379 for the stainless steel model, plus $135 to install. That sounded like the best price compared to other places I had checked, so I said yes. While she was ringing up my sale she mentioned an additional $10 to "tip the driver" to haul away the old machine. I was disgusted that she didn't disclose all fees upfront, and she saw it, so said that she would take $10 off the delivery fee (so I still paid $135 total). Richard the installer called as schedule and installed as scheduled. He did drip water all over my kitchen floor and used my new decorative dishtowel to sop up water as he moved the old dishwasher. My new towel got brown and dirty. For $135 installation he could bring his own towels. Also, I just went outside and found the huge dishwasher box full of styrofoam and wood in my driveway! Again, for $135 EVERYTHING should be taken away. Now I have to cut the box down for recycling and pay for the disposal of the styrofoam. It really left a bad taste in my mouth, and felt like he didn't deliver what was promised to me. The dishwasher looks good and is working fine, but this could have been a much better experience. I can't believe I had to "tip" this guy who left water all over my floor and garbage in my driveway.

They were a very convenient company as they are close by my house so it is easy for me to go there. They have a wide variety of selection to choose from and the people there are very friendly and will help you pick out exactly what you need.

Grant's was very good. I compared prices on the internet and in other stores and theirs were very competitive. They made sure the right appliances were delivered exactly when I needed them per my remodeling contract. They even came back and removed the old appliances after the contractor had demolished the old kitchen. They charged nothing for the extra trip, just the normal $10 or $20 per appliance that they would have charged on the delivery trip. They also deliver whenever you want them to, including weekends. The only thing I didn't like is that they call between 6am and 7am the day of delivery (too early for weekends) to give you a 4-hour window for delivery (standard but too wide in my opinion.) They were almost an hour late on the day of delivery and they didn't call--I found out by calling them.
