Worst experience in my life. Do not even consider this company. I could write a novel about all the screw ups. Way too long a lead time. Delivered wrong door painted wrong color. Replacement door also too long a lead time. Put in wrong color trim. Put in larger trim than rest of house without telling us. I have waited six months to post this review to insure I had sufficient time to evaluate the service, considering how upset I was during the process. Nope, not my anger speaking, just crappy service. We like the door and lockset but detested the service experience. From beginning to end was 6 months. Save yourself the grief. BTW, on three separate occasions I asked to talk to the owner to express my dissatisfaction. Each time I was told he was out of the state. Guess he does not own a cell phone. No! Just does not want to take responsibility for a sloppy operation. That is what you get when doing business with an absentee owner. Stay away.

The team was punctual and professional and the installation seemed to go smoothly. One of the windows ordered ended up being the wrong size, so unfortunately it had to be re-ordered and then we had to schedule another day for installation, which was quite a drag because it dragged out the project for an extra two months.

They were awesome in the retail store in helping us to pick out a door. Their price was much cheaper than other places when i called to see who had what prices. And they actually held to the same price when I went into the store to shop. They scheduled a date and came out at that time. It was cold as h*** but the dude worked fast and we have had the door for about 1.5 years and its great. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone interested.

This was our fourth time with Door and Window Superstore on Ogden.  Each time has been perfect. We have complete confidence that we are getting the very best value possible from everyone involved with the process. We highly recommend them.

Arrived on time.  Worked very h****** the installation from the minute the truck pulled up until they left.  This is the third time we have used them.  Each experience has been the same.  They combine a very high end product with a very high end installation.  What they have installed at our house will last a very long time.  We highly recommend them.  If you do not at least get an estimate, you are making a vary big mistake.  We will definitely be calling on them again in the future.

This is the third straight year that we have used Door and Window Superstore to replace windows. Each time, the same crew has done the installation. Each time, the installation went smoothly with a very consistent high quality of work. Certainly, they are expensive. But when compared to other providers that install the identical windows, Door and Window Superstore's estimate was significantly lower. After the first installation, it was no longer necessary to shop around. If you are looking for a high quality product and a very high quality installation, you need to give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

It was good. It went really well. The experience was good overall. They did everything that they said they would do. They cleaned up and installed the windows properly.

It really pays to research and know what you are purchasing and compare sales and installation prices from more than 1 vendor. We saved 25% by using Door and Window Super Store over the and quot;nextand quot; vendor. We knew what we wanted and they were able to provide an excellent price for our selected products. Sales and installation were professional and on time. Although the clean up could have been a little better, everything else went fine and we have our desired products and more $ in our bank account. I would recommend them and again...do you homework and check prices with more than one vendor!

They sell a great product and are very professional, but we simply could not justify the price. Ending up spending $7200 with Lowe's. NOT the same quality doors, but more in line with the price of our home and our budget.

Our 100 year old home has a shallow basement made of sculpted concrete blocks with 4 windows. These windows were homemade with 3 lites each, glazed glass panels with removable storm windows. Their condition deterioated to the point where they had to be replaced for safety, appearance, and energy efficiency. We visited the Door and Window Super Store in Downers Grove in October, 2012 and spoke with Bob, a design expert, about our replacement plans. We brought along photos of our old windows and shared what we had hoped to accomplish. Bob recommended Marvin Clad Ultimate Glider window replacements that would fit the dimensions of our windows. One of their most talented installers, Bryan, had done previous superior work for us and we had requested his services once again being willing to wait until he was available. Bryan stopped by within two weeks. He inspected the existing windows and measured for the replacements. Within a week, we put down half of the total amount as a deposit. Bryan had other projects lined up and was able to work on our project on December 14, 2012. Bryan contacted us the day before sharing his arrival time. That next day, Bryan and two crew members arrived at the exact designated time starting at 7:30 a.m. and working through the day finishing at 1:00 p.m. All of the windows were perfectly fitted in their spaces, the outside seals and treatment were completely weather-sealed and matched our exterior colors exactly. Inside, extra firing strips were applied to compensate for the 6and quot; thick concrete walls, insulation was used to fill all voids. The interior views of these windows made a dramatic difference in the appearance of our basement area and made a noticeable difference in the temperature of same. Door and Window honored the Angie's List coupon which saved 10% of the cost. We look forward to pursuing additional window projects with Door and Window Super Store.

Door install went well. Had minor adjustment issue which installer came back for promptly. He said adjustment might be necessary after seasonal temperature change. No problems since. Shopping for windows now and will definitely use them if their price is in line with other comparable window companies.

They were professional and they had good suggestions. They were not pushy. I really can't think of anything I disliked.

No bozos at this place. Just straight business. We spent a good year or two sourcing out local window and door places in Wheaton/Lisle/Downers Grove and Westmont. Super Door and Window had the best prices and nice quality merchandise. They were very helpful at picking out the right door to replace the 1969 model (which was a super order at the big box stores). Since the house was not built correctly, we had lot's of rot on the door frame. Super Door and Window sent out their carpenter to install. He was fantasic. I didn't think it was possible to fix that area, without a total tear out. We ended buying a Marvin Integrity french door that cut our gas bill by $40 a month -- and it's still saving us money.

I called for a estimate of having 2 windows replaced a large dining room window and a kitchen window replaced ..Scott came out measured the windows and told me he would have me an estimate in a couple of days...After 5 days I did not hear back so I called left a message but he never returned my call .I still haven't heard back from him 10 days later.....I did sign a contract with another contractor...Maybe my job was too small for them but they could have been professional and return the call..

I liked them and the job worked out great. I will use them again in the future.

We highly recommend The Door and Window Super Store in Downers Grove. They were very professional and willing to work with us. We also recommend their installer, Chris. He was an excellent installer, knew his craft and was willing to answer all of our questions before and during the installation. Our house is over 125 years old. We eanted a company and installer to be familiar with an older home. They exceeded all of our expectations. Our quote included the Low E coating and 8 windows with tempered glass. The tempered class is required in the bathroom and in our bedrooms, since the window sills are less than 18 inches from the floor. This boosted the cost of the project higher than we anticipated. However, the estimator (Scott) and installer (Chris) were able to bring the price more in-line with our budget. The windows arrived earlier than expected. Chris was able to schedule our installation within a days of their arrival. This helped, since the weather proved to be very cooperative. Chris was able to complete the job in two days. He removed the old windows and made sure that our driveway and yard were clean before he left for the day. The new windows make a big difference in the appearance of our house.

I have never been so upset when dealing with a company. I purchased the door from this company and let them know that I was concerned with wood rot and installation. They sent someone out and assured me that installation would not be a problem. In the middle of my first floor remodel it was time for my new sliding glass door. The company showed up and dropped the door in my garage. Then the installation guy showed up, took out my existing door, and stated he could not do the installation due to the wood rot at the base of the door. The only option he had was to board up my open space and leave the door with me. I was completely overwhelmed. I called another company and they were able to install it within hours. The Door and Window Super Store did not stand behind me in any way. Their response was they would take off the charge for installation. No apologies, nothing. Not only that but they had ordered the wrong hardware which took several weeks for that to be corrected as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company and the service provided.

Overall, the entire job went pretty well. Installation was excellent. Had to follow-up with the store a number of times to find out why the delivery of the door from Therma-Tru was delayed but other than that, everything went pretty well. Very thorough estimate process and the price was good as compared to other stores.

we have a 100 year old house. Nothing is square or level. They installed them and they fit beautifully. They were very professional. The scheduled the installation when the windows were ordered. The windows were ready and installed on that day. One screen was the wrong size and they reordered it and then came back and installed it two weeks later.
