 + -1 moreThe job went badly from the start and only got worse as it progressed. Mr. Munro failed the framing, and plumbing inspections and blamed the blueprints for the reason, even though village inspectors said blueprints were ok and it was his fault. He then threatened to stop all work until I paid him to redo the code violations from the failed inspections. The final straw was when he wanted me to advance him $4300.00 for the completion part of the contract He took the money along with the subs payment for brickwork and left without finishing the work or paying the sub. He will not except certified mail or answer any corrispondence. His work was sloppy and he left the worksite in a mess. Tons of debris was left on work site costing me $450.00 to have it all removed.
Description of Work: Contracted "American National Builders", headed by Mark M. Munro for a room addition to our house on Dec 29, 2010. He abandoned the site on Aug 3, 2011, leaving me with about $20,00.00 worth of bills to finish the work he was already paid to do. He did not pay one of his subs who in turn started proceedings for a Mechanics Lien of $2,775.00, on my house. (I had already paid for this) The job should have only taken 3 months but his short work days and frequent excuses for not showing up dragged it out to almost seven month and it is still not complete. This has been a totally horrible experience leaving me in debt and with a huge mess to complete.
