Ace came out and identified the issues with the garage door opener and fixed the problem.

Found out prior work on door (not from this company) resulted in bottom wheels were misaligned or installed improperly. This caused door to catch on garage frame and tear several wheels off the door and bending the track. Some wheels replaced, track bent back into shape and new seal put on bottom of garage door.

It went very well.

I was in desperate need for 3 replacement garage doors since mine were about 28 yrs old and I simply couldn't make them last any longer after several years of patching them they were actually delaminating. After researching what the best materials and manufacturers (so many different manufacturers gauges of steel doors, really have to do your homework) were on the internet I had a list of about 4 door manufacturers so I called Steve, the owner of Ace, to come out and give me an estimate. He had replaced a lower panel for me once before and he's a neighbor so he has my confidence. He came out the very next day, took a look my list of potential door manufacturers and he had experience with most on my list and had some very helpful insight as to which was the best bang for the buck  He has been in business for many years so he knows his craft very well. I had narrowed my choice down to him and one other installer/manufacturer who had many more reviews (all A rated) and was one door manufacturer that Steve didn't carry because they have a selected dealership network. Since I already was familiar and confident with Steve's work I decided to get some house addresses of examples of installations of the other installer. I was thoroughly impressed with not only the door quality but the fit and finish of the doors, very tight with no gaps whatsoever and very professional trim. I knew then that this was going to be a very difficult decision. I guess that the final decision was based upon the estimate detail that both provided. Both were around the same price,  however Steve is what I refer to as "old school" where one has to rely on a hand shake and the details (i.e. the model # of the doors and opener) were sadly omitted from Steve's estimate whereas his competitor spelled out every little detail. I have learned over the years when dealing with any home improvement company it's all in the details. It avoids future conflicts and mis-communications from both sides. Also his competitor was more flexible with respect to the doorstyle/glass style combination that we wanted. So although I knew that Ace was more than qualified I just felt more comfortable with the detailed contract that left nothing to interpretation. If I was merely having repairs to the doors again that might have been a different story having had Steve do that on a prior occasion but in a complete door replacement situation where a large amount of money (at least for me) is at stake, there's too many variables to leave anything open to interpretation so as much as I wanted to go with Steve I just couldn't. Guess I'm getting too conservative in my old age.

I had an estimate schedule after 5:30 on Monday or Tuesday.  An individual showed up in the middle of the day without calling and had a minor let them into the garage.  They should have showed up as scheduled or called prior to coming to the house.  They certainly should have called when an adult was not home.  Maybe they do good work but this was enough for me to find another company that comes when they are scheduled and calls when an appointment needs to be changed.  I always discuss work in person prior to hiring a contractor.

CALLED IN THE AM (SAT) UPON DISCOVERING BROKEN GARAGE DOOR SPRING. SAID THEY WOULD BE OUT BETWEEN 1:00 AND 3:00. CAME AROUND 2:00. VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL.FIXED THE SPRINGS AND REPLACED 2 CRACKED HINGES AND REPLACE 10 ROLLERS. VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. DOOR WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

They arrived when they said they would and got the job done for a fair price.
