A WALDBART & SONS NURSERY

We called Waldbart from a referral even though the referring person wasn't 100% happy with the work Waldbart had done for them. Since this was only one opinion we thought we'd proceed anyway. Also, many landscapers won't lay pavers and build walls. Waldbart will do it all. We talked to Art who was very knowledgable and helpful. He came out and looked our yard over and after a week came up with a plan of what he thought we should do. It sounded great. The problem arose with the installation crew. All were young kids who really didn't care too much about what they were doing. Maybe they didn't know what they were doing and that's why they wouldn't talk much.The lead guy wouldn't carry on much of a conversation either.. Once the job was done Art came out to see the job and collect the check. We all looked the job over and discovered about 6 plants were not planted so he scheduled to have them installed. We paid him. After a year about 12 plants of the roughly 50 they installed died. We replaced them ourselves rather than have the kids come back. The whole experience wasn't awful but it was the little things that get to you. They ate lunch on our patio which was fine but leaving food and food wrappers laying around irritated me. They also weren't too concerned about tearing up the lawn as they worked. They built a wall but there should be a capstone on the top. Other landscapers have asked us why it is not there. Art said they didn't make a capstone for that type of block. We have a new landscaper who says they do. We'll see who's right in a few weeks. I think if Art had supervised the job the whole experience would have all gone much better.
