TORTORELLO'S SPRINKLER SYSTEM

Installation was fine..That was two years ago. Last Thursday, they came to re-start system after winter and one of their workers over-tightened the cap inside the valve box and the next day when the system turned on, it sprung an enormous leak (like a huge fountain at the base of our house), washing away all of our mulch in that area, flooding the lowest part of the yard and resulting in many more dollars on our water bill. Luckily our neighbor's sprinkler company was next door and they shut off the system and explained what the problem was. I called Tortorellos Friday noon to tell them it needed fixing right away. That was Friday. I called first thing Monday morning to see how soon someone would be out to fix it, bec. we're getting very dry...and Wednesday was the first opportunity. I talked at length to Bill Tortorello who said "the price of gas is very expensive" so they couldn't get to me til then. So they created a problem but couldn't fix it for a week. Some kind of customer service. I couldn't get him to budge so really fed up, I said we'll find someone else to take care of us.

The estimate was considerably more than 3 other estimates received. Even though the proposal included more sprinkler heads than the others, the calculated cost-per-head (which I did for comparison) was nearly 50% more.
