Went very well. We replaced all the sod. Steve and his team were on site bright and early ready to go. They finished that morning and cleaned up as if they were never there. Steve gave suggestions on what we could do with some problem areas and is great to work with. Would definitely use them again.

perfect-Steve kept me informed every step of the way on scheduling and stop of work and then post installment instructions. The crew did quality work and my lawn is lush and green. Im not sure if it si because of Perfect turf, my ocd watering or a combination but our yard looks better than many newly resided yards int he neighborhood

I don't recall the price. It was under $500. They did the work in two pieces, a half a day for one, less than half a day for the other. We needed two different things -- patching the lawn after the cement and we had some thing that needed to be cleaned up.

The whole process went very smoothly. Steve was great at explaining what needed to be done and why. He was friendly and his work was perfect. His estimate was what we paid, which was nice as well.

Whenever I have consulted Angie's List prior to calling a provider, I have always had good results. This was no exception! Over many years, our backyard became very bumpy; my husband referred to it as "the Burma Road" when mowing the lawn. We finally decided to have it corrected. I read many good reviews for Perfect Turf and decided to give them a call. Steve, the owner, responded promptly and came out to take a look. He's personable and knowledgeable and provided suggestions in addition to describing each step of the work (removing the grass, tilling, pulverizing and grading the soil, laying the sod and rolling. We wanted to remove a tall evergreen tree before sodding; Steve said that although he could remove the tree for us, he recommended that a tree service would probably do it at less cost. (which we ultimately did). The work was done about 3-4 weeks later, which allowed us time to have the tree taken down., Steve and his 4-man crew arrived at 8 am, went right to work, and they were finished within a couple hours. They cleaned up after themselves nicely and did a wonderful job. He gave us instructions ... watering, staying off the new sod, how and when to start cutting the new grass, etc. ... so now it's up to us! We're happy!

The workers were fast and good. They all had different jobs and swarmed my lawn. In less than 2 hours, they were finished with what would have taken me and my husband a week to finish. Very pleased with the results. My lawn looks great!

It was FANTASTIC!!! I wish I could give Perfect Turf an A+++ because they truly deserve it. I contacted them through Angie's List, and Steve responded on the same day. He came out very quickly and took a look at our yard, and it was a really fun experience. He has a great sense of humor, knows his stuff, and is so darn humble and helpful. We were looking for something that would be very low maintenance, as we aren't very good at gardening, and he was full of excellent suggestions. Some other providers insisted that we pay for a designer (one quoted $500 for a designer's plans, sight unseen!), but Steve was willing to design it for us for free. After Steve drafted up a lovely design, my husband and I met him at the nursery to pick out plants. What could have been a tedious experience was FUN because of Steve! Again, he really knows his stuff, and he made great suggestions. He never tried to sway us away from our choices unless there were a very good reason for it, and we quickly just started asking him to tell us what he would do if it were his yard. Steve and his crew (including his son...it's a family business) showed up on time and were ready to work. Everyone was friendly, smiling, and working very hard from the minute they got here. Steve had everything placed in the yard so we could approve it before it got planted, and it looked even more gorgeous than we had hoped. We can't wait until next year when we'll have Steve and his crew come back to do the backyard! Use Perfect Turf, and you'll be so glad you did...your neighbors will too when they get to look over at your beautiful yard. :)

Steve and his crew did a great job on our front yard. We live on a corner lot and had to get the east and south side of our home updated. Steve met us at our house and gave us a quote for removal of all the bushes and installation of sod. He recommended that we meet him at Lurvey's to pick out new plantings. Steve was very knowledgable when explaining specific trees and shrubs. He really took the time to work with us on what to pick out. Once we decided on shrubs/plants, Steve and his crew came back in a few days to rip out all the bushes/shrubs and installed new plants, tree, shrubs and sod. Everything went well and we are very happy with how everything turned out. Steve is upfront and honest about expectations. We plan to use his services again in the future.

Responded quickly, set a date, and completed on time. Exactly how it's supposed to go! Missed a small portion of the back yard, but not to major of an issue.

I called him for some quotes. For a spring cleanup he was charging me 755.00. Everyone else quoted me under 200.00. Also wanted him to quote me on cutting down a row of bushes to the fence line and cutting out the trees that had grown inside the fence line. He said he could not do it. I already had two quotes from other landscape services that could do it. Why not him. He said he would have to take the chicken wire inside the fence down to do it. I did have another company do it, they were able to do it without removing any fencing. Also, I asked him about weeds in the yard. He said he does not do that. Why is your company called perfect turf if you cannot provide the services to have perfect turf. Nice guy, but certainly not able to provide what other landscapers did.

We have been working with Steve and his crew for the past few years... from ongoing lawn/yard maintenance to grading corrections to complete redesign and installation of large landscaped areas. Steve's just great! Responsive, responsible and fair. He has an amazing work ethic and ensures that the job, big or small, is done correctly and to my satisfaction. After trying several other landscape services that disappointed on many levels, we were so lucky to find Steve and his great crew! I trust Steve's advice on what really needs to be done... and that's a bold statement. When we discuss projects, he makes sure to understand my goals. He's 'hands-on" on all projects and it's very easy to talk with him about changes or unexpected situations that arise. Steve is a rare find! We have a typical Chicago urban front yard. It is not very big. I had made several attempts through Angie's list to contact other landscapers and they either no showed or never sent a bid. We realize it may not be a desirable big job, but at least have the courtesy to decline or cancel. Steve was VERY responsive, set an appointment immediately, showed up on time. Was very up front on what he does do, and doesn't. He spent time looking at the yard and making suggestions. We received an estimate the next day! I called him back so impressed at the responsiveness, that we asked to be put on his calendar. Steve met us at the landscaping place we were getting the plants and spent almost 2 hours going through all our options and pulling out plants and making suggestions. He listened to what we liked and didn't like and why. He was very creative in designing something we would be happy with. He actually pulled all the plants out and places them how he was picturing them in the yard, so we could see what it would look like! He installed the plants within a couple of days and his crew was very good and cleaned up after the install. We love the result and plan to hire Steve again to install some more in the back yard!

They did an excellent job. They edged and cleaned up all my flowerbeds.

They were responsive for both the quote and the work. I'd hire them again.

The request for de-thatching and spring cleanup was put in around February and the work was done once the weather was appropriate. The bill was received about one week later. In my opinion, the cost was reasonable and the work was done very well.

Requested quote for lawn maintenance but was out of his service area. They got back to me a few hours after leaving message. Appreciated the fast response.

Just as the company name implies "perfect".
