I can't comment on price or quality since I have nothing to compare it to. We initially had a slip up about time, however, a heartfelt apology was offered so who can criticize for that? The repairman came out first thing the next morning and fixed my garage efficiently and neatly. I was offered options so I chose to go with a new opener rather than the new circuit board. It works like a charm.

Bob Makuch is great to work with. People I know in the industry recommended him to me, These are people who I trust and they gave Makuch Doors an enthusiastic recommendation. I found Makuch Garage Doors to be prompt, professional, fair and honest. They were great. I would use them again. I have no idea why they have a B overall ratting. I would not agree with that at all. Also I normally would not use an Angie List company with a B rating. I was lucky to get people in the industry telling me to give them a try..Give this company a try then write an honest review. This is a great company that is being over looked by the reviewers.

I was very happy with their work. They were prompt with both the estimate and the installation. The installers were friendly and competent. I would definitely recommend them.

Terrible. Bob sent a guy to do the tune up. My main complaint was squeaky rollers/doors when operating. Bob said needs tune up and will take care of it. I did not check after the work was done as I was not home. The garage doors were still making the same squeaky noise as they did before. Called him numerous times. Not one call back. Will never call this company for any work again. The work was done earlier this year.

The service call went fine - on time arrival, took the necessary information, answered questions as best they could. However, from that point on, the service and responsiveness were terrible. I had asked for an email receipt from the service call, together with information on the anticipated cost of the new panels, hinges, rollers, etc. as well as timing. I was told this would come within a week. After 2 or so weeks of no follow up, I inquired and was told they would get right on it. Still no action. I began calling weekly, and after multiple promises to respond, they stopped answering my calls. I asked my wife to call and they answered her call, provided similar assurances, but have once again failed. We have no confidence that any of the information we have been given is accurate or truthful.
We requested a refund of the $100 that we had paid toward the new panels, rollers, etc., and were told we would receive a call back on that, but we have received none.

i called the day before which was sunday they came out first thing monday morning on time.

At 5:00 p.m., on a Friday night, I opened my garage door, parked my car inside the garage and then closed the garage door. Suddenly, the spring broke and I was not able to open the garage door, or open it manually. It was a Friday night, and I was worried because I had to work the next morning and my car was inside the garage. I called Mukuch Door Company after finding their number inside our garage from the prior owners of our house. I called them at 5:15 p.m., and to my surprise someone answered and said that someone could be out the next day, which was a Saturday, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., and I was told they don't charge extra for Saturday appointments. The technician arrived the next day exactly at 8:00. He was very nice and explained what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He was done by 8:30 a.m., and even showed me how to open the garage door manually in case this ever happens again. I was able to get to work on time. Everything works great now.

Garage door lift wires had come off the roller on the spring bar on both ends resulting in the spring becoming untensioned. Both ends of the door were recabled, spring was retensioned, new bearings were installed on both ends of the spring bar. The prior bearings were catching causing the cable to jump.

I called Makuch Garage Door in Des Plaines and he came out the next day to quote the job. I thought he was very professional and gave me some advice I appreciated. The next day we hired him because his price was reasonable and we felt he would do a good job. 2 days later they came over took out old door and replaced new one in 3 hours. They were very neat and took my old door away and cleaned up the area. I would highly recommend this company.

I called at 9pm and Bob answered, he quoted a fair price (a little under what others had listed in their report/reviews), and we scheduled a time the next afternoon. Bob called 1/2 hr before arrival saying he was one time. He was professional and ended up replacing both springs, the two wheel brackets/braces that hold the tension line, and sanding down (not replacing) the metal rod that holds the spring. Very friendly! About two months after the repair, the garage door would not go down. It would start going down, but would stop & go back up. I called Bob at 7pm & left message. He called back in 5 min. He asked me a few questions to help me avoid a service call AND based on those questions I notices a ball was "in the path" of the electric eye, which detects obstructions & prevents injury. I removed the ball and garage door now worked. Bob resolved my issue free of change, over the phone, in 2 min! I highly recommend him.

They also maintenance the garage door by lubing the springs and rollers and now my garage door works like brand new.
