LBJ HEATING & COOLING

Our air conditioner stopped cooling, and we were pretty sure that the refrigerant was low. We contacted LBJ Heating and Cooling. Leonard told us they would not come out unless the temperature was 70 degrees because it was impossible to measure or charge the refrigerant when it is cold outside. Once he inspected the unit, he said the condenser needed cleaning and then he helped us troubleshoot how it could have gotten that dirty since we had cleaned it in the spring. He asked if our landscape contractor bags the grass clippings to which we said no, and he said that could definitely be the reason.Since the temperature was warm, he was able to measure that the amount of refrigerant needed was one pound. They also told us that the reason the refrigerant leaked was likely because the valve expands and contracts with temperature changes, and it’s fairly common for the refrigerant to need to be charged after about seven years, which is the age of the unit. The price was reasonable, and they seemed very knowledgeable. They also wore masks the whole time, inside and outside, which we appreciated.

I would absolutely use them again.

On the second day of 90 degree temperatures of the year, it was evident my AC was not working (it was 82 degrees in the house). I expected to call around and maybe get someone to come out in a day or two. LBJ was out 3 hours after I called. I was at work and they called me 30 minutes before they arrived so I could meet them there. The person they sent was courteous and showed and explained everything. He had to return to their office for a part and I was not charged for that travel time. I was worried they were going to pull the usual "you need a new unit" but he only fixed what needed fixing. It took about 3 hours. I plan on calling them for all my HVAC needs.

Excellent. Showed up on time, found the problem right away and fixed it at a very reasonable cost for a service call. I would absolutely recommend and use again.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. Leonard worked for about 3 hours and did a much more detailed and thorough job than anyone had previously. He alerted me to multiple issues that my original HVAC installer had created. The important thing about this is that it was **not** a sales pitch!!! This was legitimate information!! I was also charged 1/2 of what a previous company charged me for maintenance. I will absolutely be calling Leonard for all my HVAC needs int the future.

Leonard arrived at the scheduled time. He was efficient, and provided useful information. I would have him do other work as needed.
