Fritz Konstruction

Initially, I thought everything went well since it only took them one day to completely replace the roof on my 1600+ sq. ft. house and only a few more hours to replace my upper floor gutters. Boy, was I wrong. Fortunately, I'm in good shape, so I was able to get on my roof and inspect their job. I shouldn't even call it an inspection, because it was very easy to spot the flaws in their work. All you had to do is take a glance and the flaws were visible. The flaws were not only in the roof replacement but also on the upper floor gutter replacement. I called Jerry(their supervisor/foreman/superintendent) and explained the flaws. He had someone come out to fix the flaws, and after they were done, I went up on the roof again, and looked at the repairs. Some of the repairs were performed correctly but others were not, so I called Jerry again and he had someone come out again to take care of them. After they left, I went on the roof again to look at repairs, this time they had addressed all flaws and all fixes were done correctly. I don't understand why they didn't do this in the beginning. I don't know if the flaws in workmanship were a result of "lets get this done as fast as we can" or some of the workers lacked the knowledge of how to perform the job correctly. So that was the roof. There were also some issues with the gutter replacement(missing screws, empty screw holes without caulk/silicone, pitching of one of the gutters). I called Jerry and he had someone come out to do the needed repairs. After they left, I inspected the gutters and confirmed that they repaired all the flaws correctly. In the end, everything was fixed correctly, but I had to call them and they had to return three times for it to happen. Fortunately, I'm knowledgeable in construction trades and fit enough to get up on the roof and look at their work, but what about people that don't have any knowledge in the construction trades, or people that can't get up on the roof to inspect due to age or health issues. I would never hire them again to do any type of work to my home and you should't either. If you do end up having to hire them for some reason, I suggest having someone you know and trust, and is capable of inspecting their work, to do so or else there's a good possibility you will have issues. When we hire a contractor to do a job, we shouldn't have to do a quality check on their workmanship. They should have someone like a foreman or supervisor, with years of experience in their trade, inspect the job after completion, but as far as I know that didn't happen in my case. I don't know if Jerry was the one who was supposed to do the inspection. The only time I saw him was before the job was done, when we discussed the financials of the job, and when he collected payment.

The work was completed in one day, removed all debris, and came back when the gutter above front door was not draining into downspout properly. My thanks to Doug for taking care of the problem.

Requested estimate which was very fair. Did job as specified. On time and completed as agreed upon. Very good job and would recommend.

This is the second time we have used Fritz. The first time was in about 1995 when they did our house. This time they did our garage. The roofers did a very good job. They were courteous and mindful of our property. I can see the garage roof from my kitchen window and it's a pleasure to look at because the tiles were installed cleanly and evenly. The guys cleaned up the surrounding area as well. The only reason I gave a "B" for professionalism is because when it came time to send in the payment check, my husband called to ask about the 5% senior discount. The woman who answered said there is a senior discount, and then she put our salesman on the phone. Our salesman tried to pull a fast one by saying the 5% senior discount was already factored into the price. I got on the phone and told him there was no way it could have been because we did not discuss that with him before we received the estimate. (More importantly, there was also no indication on the estimate stating that it included a senior discount.) The salesman finally said okay, you can have it. It worked out fine for us in the end, but we did not like or appreciate the encounter.

They appeared to understand the job that needed to be done. There were two people here doing the work and it took about 4 days to complete. They had to come back out because they failed to address some of the broken shakes.

It was great. They did a great job. The crew came in like 8:00 in the morning and by 5:00, everything was done whatever he said and they were waiting to go home. It was amazing. They were great. He gave me a list of 36 people who had roof done in the area with phone numbers if I wanted to call them. The price was very reasonable with the job they have done. He came whenever he said he would. He said when the roof is complete, I'll give him a check. If I was satisfied, I would pay him which was great. He even gave me a copy of his insurance and circled numbers where to call. That was a big thing. The guys who did it, they worked together for like 5 years. There was no messing around.

They called and e-mailed within the week of my e-mail request for an estimate. The estimate was received within the following week. I called to schedule the repair and they were out the very next day. I didn't need to take a day off of work, they worked on the roof without need to enter the house. Looks good as new.

They did a great job. Quick process from quote to completion. Property was clean after they left. We took several bids on this job, and theirs was the most reasonable. We've recommended them to neighbors - all who have been pleased.

Dan inspected the roof and explained his plan. He provided an estimate a few days later. He returned with a crew the following week and completed the repair in a few hours. Two previous repairmen failed to fix the problem but Fritz Konstruction took care of it.

The crew showed up on time (early actually) and immediately started stripping off the old shingles. We knew some of the plywood had to be replaced and we were shown what was bad before it was ripped off, so there were no mysterious extra charges. Jerry Flores kept in touch throughout the process and the crew answered any questions we had. They were all very polite.
After the new roof was on, they cleaned up all the nails and other debris. We haven't found any trace of roofing debris since then. That was the first thing Jerry checked when he stopped by afterwards.
We are pleased with the whole process. Jerry was upfront with all charges, had proof of insurance ( and all other pertinent documentation, including BBB awards), and patiently answered all our questions no matter how basic they were ( I'd never heard of a baby tin!). I highly recommend Fritz for roofing.

They showed up on time, did the work really well, and cleaned up the work site of all the debris. The last part is important as past experience with roofers ended up with me having to pick up garbage around my home.
After the work was completed, the manager showed me what was done and told me to contact him if we needed anything else. The roof has held up since then and still looks great - the shingles are well aligned and look terrific.

I was extremely pleased with my experience with Fritz Roofing. Kim (the receptionist) was very helpful when I called and Jerry (one of the owners, I believe) was right on time after I scheduled an estimate. Their bid was very competitive, but their professionalism was what really sold me. I felt comfortable throughout the whole process and the final bill matched what I was quoted. Overall, I the experience was painless and I would recommend them to anyone.
